My preference would be to keep Sean at least 1 more year.

Top 3 offensive choices

1. Pete Carmichael- All things considering I'd like to keep alot of the stuff we got in place offensively.
2. Kyle Shanahan
3. Jim Bob Cooter- once you get past the name, you realize he's done a damn good job with Detroit. People had that team dead in the water after Calvin left. You could make the argument they became better offensively after he left.
Still, I dont know if i can get over saying Coach Cooter

Top 3 Defensive choices

1. Vic Fangio
2. Sean McDermott
3. Jim Schwartz

Its when this discussion comes up and I read the first 10 posts that I rememeber why we cant fire sean payton. Especially before the unworldy big ocean of despair this orginization will go into when brees is done.

Sean McDermott. Strong defensive HCs are the way to go nowadays. Need a culture of physicality.

What a difference a year makes. This time last year, we'd have helped him move.

I'm not a fan of the move personally, but looking out throughout the league at each teams staff he's probably one of the better options.

I'd almost rather Jim Bob lol.

Only thing that would worry me in his habit of douchebaggery when things aren't going good, and the fans are grumbling. He can be petulant as hell.

So he's like his father. I really don't care for the Shanahan family at all. Maybe he would be a stop gap coach while we figure things out
