My Payton source

Take it FWIW. My source is someone very close to Payton. I've spent time with Mr Payton and his family. As of yesterday afternoon, my source was very concerned Payton would be dealt. What is misunderstood publicly is the relationship between Loomis and Payton. They were very close for many years..NOT ANYMORE. There is no love between these two anymore. Payton was furious with Loomis taking the Pelicans job and retaining Saints GM. That issue, along with some major player personnel decisions made by Loomis, all played into this relationships demise.
Make no mistake, Mr Payton LOVES Nola. He wants to stay as the Saints head coach. He does want Loomis out as GM. Whether he gets that, or we stay status quo, or he gets traded remains to be seen. This guy has tremendous respect and loyalty to Mr. Benson and the Saints fanbase. I've heard it from his mouth constantly. The overall major issue here is the relationship with Loomis and Payton.
