For the record I'm not for trading Brees. However, Minn just bent over and gave up a 1st and 4th for Bradford.... Imagine what they would give for Drew.

Wow!! That's a lot to give up for Bradford. I'm guessing they don't want to waste one of the last few years of Peterson's career.

Bradford

This pretzel legged mother fricker is hot garbage. He has single handedly raped NFL teams of millions for absolutely 0 production on the field. NFL owners and coaches should be embarrassed clamouring over this female in a football uni.

If we gave Minny Brees for their 1st, then we could look forward to the 31st or 32nd pick in the draft, because Brees would make them a legit Super Bowl team

Brees with AP and McKinnon
Diggs, Treadwell, Johnson, and Kyle Rudolph

and that Defense...you can go ahead and give them the NFC North.

It would come down to them and whoever won the West.

Trading Brees would be like trading away years of the saints of old. Pay the man and ride it until the wheels fall off.

I thought the exact same thing.

Hell, I'd have taken a 1 and 4 for Brees today.

emotions get in the way of logic....you have to cut ties when it makes sense.

Trading Favre, Montana, etc...when it's in your favor to do so is just smart.

Cam and Winston will be a problem for years past Brees, you have to think of the future. I was for grabbing RG3 for just this scenerio. With an okay option at QB you have leverage to take advantage of a Minnesota type oppurtunity, ownership and management are not forward thinking and are pretty much mentally lazy (by how they structure this team)

Spiller and Fleener or Rg3 + at keast a 1st and a 4th

Would've asked for a 2017 1st rounder, 2017 3rd Rounder, 2018 1st Rounder, Alex Boone, and Xavier Rhodes

Trading away brees isn't forward thinking or logical. It's stupid. It's completely giving up on any ambition of ever competing. It's saying frick it. Favre and Montana are not nearly comparable.

Lol

Coming off back to back 7-9 seasons and another one looking us in the face

With that much cap being taken up by Brees, coupled with the inability to draft or spend on FA, this team will likely face the same fate

I was against trading Brees but the writing is on the wall. He would bring a treasure trove haul back.

Im sorry to say but we can't keep riding a dead horse, there has to be a change sometimes and the wheels have fell off.. he's not the same Drew and has not been for the last year or so...It was a great run but its time to try something new.... Just being real.I love what he has done but why not get Ammo and rebuild..All new Front office and coaching staff..How can you hang on to Joe Vitt and Bill Johnson after neither coach has produced since they have been here our D-Line and Linebacker have suffered because of them and SP does nothing to them...Its time to move on.

If we had any plan in place QB wise than I'd be willing to listen to an idea of trading Drew. Seeing as we have jack shite for our future QB its not an option.

If we can find our QB of the future in this draft that the team is willing to invest in sure, but until than absolutely not.

What is the point of bottoming out without an endgame? there is no plan in place for the future.

I completely agree but if we trade him this year and get ready for next year because I don't see this year going any better then the last..If i'm wrong great will be there every week for sure..But to not take our greatest chance to get the most for Drew because this is our last chance because after this year we get nothing for him and he leaves for free...

Yep, they'd easily be a 12+ win team with Drew

What is bottoming out, to you? 3 straight losing seasons?

You stockpile draft picks and go from there. Because if you wait til he's 40, he has no value and we still have a bad roster

3 wins or less.

I dont see 7 wins as being a dumpster fire like so many seem to. Playoffs or not I just want to see a team thats competitive.
