Hey Putting Vilma on the IR designate didn't cost a roster spot for now. Will have to make that decision when its time for him to come back

This makes zero sense. I doubt he's ready to retire; so, I don't think the one day contract is in play.

See Ya later Tanner. This will make the 34th transaction on your resume...approaching a team record, I'm sure.

They've already said Vilma to IR opened up the spot for Meachem

And they cut Chamberlain

Meh. I'd rather see the younger guys get more playing time.

I'd tear my own ACL right now if it would get Joe Morgan back on the field. Damn, I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do and we really need him right now. This desperate signing Meachem shows just how much we were counting on him.

Having done that twice to the same knee (not to get Morgan back...of course), I can assure that you wouldn't want to do that.

If Meachem does look like his old self this season with Brees slinging it again, it will have to reflect badly on Phillip Rivers.

Would rather re-sign Devry......much better deep threat at this point.

Rivers hasn't been a part of the big picture for a while now. He comes off as a jerk and that might have something to do with Meachem not living up to expectations...why bust your arse for a jackass.

Let's face it, going from Brees (a class act)to Rivers (a no class act) would be a culture shock.

I'm a little worried that this means Toon could be out for some time.

Or maybe I'm just being a little too paranoid.

Improvement, I like Meachem on the roster more than Vilma.

They know Meachem so well it won't take long to tell if he has anything left. If he doesn't, sayonara and bring in someone else.

Everette Brown OLB is a cut guy I'd like to brought in.

Why not keep a guy like Parker that has much more upside then Meachem does

Surely they worked Meach out and liked what they saw. Unlikely this was a blind decision. I like it...........

Meachem was a bust for a 1st rounder since it took him how long to learn the Saints system and break into the line-up. After that, he was a solid receiver. It looks like he had the same problems learning the Chargers system.

The fact that he has a leg will inevitably be revealed in week one via Sean Payton.

He definitely has a stationary bike.
