Just wondering if the board had any info in this. In CBS sportscaster app you can click on saints, than tweets and it gives you all the latest tweets. I saw two, one by Marquis Johnson about an injury settlement. My guess isthe Saints have reached a financial agreement and released him, but not sure. Plus I thought his preseason was good enough to get him back in camp next year. I don't do twitter, so I was wondering if some of yall had any info?

CB Marquis Johnson, who had placed on injured reserve, posted on his Twitter page that he had reached an injury settlement with the Saints, allowing him sign with another team when he can pass a physical.

dayum, hadn't heard one thing on him. It's no death blow but is a hit IMO. Thought he was neck n neck with Patrick for #3 CB. But he's another guy that has had injury proneness as his MO. Corey White: next man up!

Must have a longer recovery outlook to settle out with him.

Teams give injury settlements to guys they want to return to the 53/practice squad later in the year

If they place them on IR, they lose them
For the season, but if they reach an injury settlement, they can return after they heal

The New Orleans Saints have waived CB Marquis Johnson (undisclosed) and SS Jose Gumbs (undisclosed) from the Injured Reserve after receiving an injury settlement.

Gumbs too, thought he was challenging Amaya before the injury
