I definitely think it matters, you gotta get these guys signed. Training Camp is the MOST important time for rookie development IMO

Jenkins needs to get in camp. The Saints are deep at CB and he's going to be buried on the depth chart if he holds out.

for the contracts to fall to our pics. Oh so often a player skips the order, and tells his agent to SIGN NOW. But this is not the norm, It sucks. I think M Jenkins will NOT be a long holdout. This front office 'actually know what they are doing.

the shitty part is that Jenkins was the first CB selected in the draft, so his agent is gonna want to make sure that no other rookie CB will come in behind him and sign a more lucrative contract than his.
This is definitely gonna take longer than we all would like.... a week, maybe two.

I think Porter and Greer will be the starters going into the season with Gay and David fighting for the nickel spot. I don't think the Saints NEED Jenkins by the start of the season and don't see him challeging for a starting position until mid-season. It would be nice to get him into the start of camp but I don't see it as such big deal as long it isn't a JRussell type of contract issue.
