Major Dome renovations could be coming

The plan will take six months to complete, and officials are open to any ideas -- such as widening the concourses, improving the parking garages, or finding a way to allow more natural light to enter the building -- to improve the Superdome. Saints president Dennis Lauscha said the goal is to put the stadium on the “cutting edge.” He also believes that having the Saints and Pelicans under the same ownership allows for possibilities to improve the area around the two arenas.

Yup to both.
I also imagine they will have to keep shifting towards turning that whole area into more of an "entertainment district" integrated into the Dome/Arena.

Widened concourses? Natural light? Improved parking?

Nothing says cutting edge like a few windows.

I hope, that by 'improve' they mean it will cost less than $40

Quite the contrary. They will have to pay for the new and improved parking.

Why would anyone want to park at the dome?
I have access to a free pass in a good spot and haven't used it in years

I park in the WHD usually and just walk. Much easier access to the Expressway.

The next thing they need to do is to renovate the club end zone areas exactly like the entire lower plaza & sideline club seats. That would help out the look of the Dome so much. The multi colored seats are so 70's. Plus my seats are in the club end zone. So there you go....

YES. 1000x yes.

Who cares?
The absolute worst part of the Super Dome is feeling like you're on Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras trying to go the damn bathroom or concessions.

Whenever they talk about renovations I want to put my hand over my wallet. It always means they're finding a new way to frick the season ticket holder.

This is a must, the superdome is so tight.

They better hurry. After Brees it's going to be hard to jack up prices for a while

Some kind of sliding windows on the top would be pretty killer.

I am opposed to the natural lighting. My Sunday hangover prefers the dome as a dark cold cave.

As long as they get rid of the multi colored seats, I'm ok with it.
