Hawthorne with 13.

Vaccaro and Lofton had 20 combined MT last season (17 by Lofton).

What happened?

Over what period of time? And how does that compare league-wise?

I'm assuming this season.

Vaccaro only missed 3 last year

Maybe Lofton isn't playing as well as I thought he was. That's a high number.

Holy shite that is a lot of missed tackles. I understand Lofton since he's frequently in the mix and 2nd in the league for total tackles, but Vaccaro's is highly disturbing. Hopefully he will step up as a leader following Sunday's debacle and turn this crap around.

You're hoping for a lot. It's been 13 games and he hasn't made any progress. I don't think this arse kicking will change anything from a defensive standpoint. They just don't have it.

We say this after every loss. It's not going to suddenly click. Just better hope he realizes his frick ups and changes best year

I realize I'm hoping for a lot, but he had a good quote from yesterday where he seemed like he was ready to step up and be a leader. Earlier in the season he was quoted as someone looking for leaders around him.

We'll see.

Vaccaro and Jenkins both looked like cornerstones their rookie years

Would love to hear an in-depth theory on what the hell happened to Vacarro... is it scheme? Injury?

I mean there doesn't seem to be any reason for the dropoff.

Lofton has made 127 tackles, Vaccaro has made 66. The made to missed ratio is majorly different especially considering the difference in how much a LB is blocked vs a Safety.

The reality is Lofton is one of the only guys on the field who has been hustling, not giving up on plays, and consistently tackling with good technique. Watching our DB's run around trying to body check people to the ground and not putting a hand on them is a joke.

Lofton isn't that fast compared to the guys in the secondary, yet he's run down plays in the secondary and made tackles when members of the secondary Vaccaro included took a bad angle then gave up on the play after getting beat.

If you watch this D closely you can see a bunch of guys who simply haven't put in the work off the field and are getting beat and out hustled on the field.
