We need depth everywhere, a DE and another CB.

The defense looked ultra impressive to me before they lost half their guys, and we had no one behind them.

I can honestly say I have no idea how talented our defense is.

We're too injured.

We may actually be a solid D with Rankins, Kikaha, Davison, Ellerbe, Breaux, Williams, Wilson, and Vaccaro healthy.
Jesus, typing that out really makes it seem bad how injured we are.

I know right. Hell you can add Keenan Lewis and Swann as well.

The prospects for the backend are pretty good IMO

I would keep pumping picks into the front 7 until you hit on a the biggest need- a PLAYMAKER. Jordan reminds me of Will Smith in quality. For me, very good, VERY! But not a highly disruptive player who the offense has to account for every play.

I like Kruger and expect to see more out of him. Elevated play from him could free up Jordan to progress to even another level. But he is 30. That's not building block for a new D age.

It's becoming a broken record but my concerns about the coaching have only grown the past few years. Forcing position coaches on coordinators isn't the ideal formula IMO. Ninkovich wasn't a scheme fit at the time (why draft him then?), left and has performed well. Harper not All Pro but did man up for another SB team. Jenkins made All Pro after departure.

My prescription would be some staff shakeup and relentlessly draft front 7 playmakers until you hit it right.

Sorry, left tackle stuck out because Armstead got hurt, forcing Peat to move out, which cause us headache last night. But we've got old dudes on the right side of the line (though Strief hasn't dropped performance too badly yet). Point is, o-line ain't what she used to be.

I could roll with that. As long as we are starting a draft pick or legit free agency and not some guy off the street week 3 we will be improved. I like Vaccaro a lot and think he needs to be in it for the long haul. Liked Bell in Giants game but we need a larger sample size. It could end up one of our strongest positions if we had depth or sign a stud. I would tend to agree pass rusher first in Free agency, but why not both??

There really is not enough space. We have maybe 3-5 NFL players that I can see. The rest would not be picked up by anyone on waivers.

U want to make a bet that they average getting up over 30 points for the season and finish in bottom 3 in almost every category. I have watched all three of the Falcons games, they are not very good.

Ellerbe might be our 3rd best defender when healthy.

But he's never healthy,we can't count on him

DE - Jordan is the guy. Kruger hasn't looked good so far. Could be a scheme thing, time will tell. Everyone else is replacement level. This is the biggest need on the defense.

Agreed

S - Byrd might need to go

No, he has to go. Has to. Put his arse on the bench ASAP.

James Lauranitis is, and has been, fricking awful as a linebacker. He looks mean, and he celebrates after every tackle so people think he's good, but he just isn't.

Breaux, Williams, and Swann are seemingly a fantastic 1-2-3 combo.

Swann has played 7 games and is one hit from CTE. Williams has played 5 quarters in two seasons.

I saw you reply to this thread and I just knew it was going to be some shite like this

They have looked good in the time they've played... that is what I meant.

Am I wrong? You can't call it a realistic look then say that unit is seemingly fantastic when PJ is still very unproven and Swann is a gigantic question mark.
