There are time when I think "frick the coach! Fire him!" during games, but I usually don't feel that way the next day.
Today, I do feel that way.
I still want him gone, even after the emotions have cooled.

So, here's my yes-or-no question for y'all:

If It Was Up To You, Would You Fire Coach Sean Payton Today?

We don't know who will be there to replace him, but I want to hear what y'all think.
Please answer either in the negative or affirmative.

Just to be clear, I feel like I was one of the last defenders of the Loomis and Payton regime. I wanted them to have a long leash. Going into this year I felt like they just needed more time, we had a failed rebuild but we turned it around, etc. I defended them vehemently.

But my answer now is yes. I'm officially out.

No. I don't see what good it does to do it now. The team appears to be a lost cause. Fire him at season's end.

I think team needs new ownership. Everyone has become complacent knowing they will not be fired by Benson.

I say NO to coach and yes to Loomis.

I've been drinking the optimist koolaid for a few years, but not anymore. I've been a Saints fan since the 70's, and won't watch another game until Payton is fired.

At the minimum, Loomis needs to be relieved of all responsibilities related to the Pelicans. Ever since Benson bought the Pels and put Loomis in charge of that team too, the Saints have suffered with making bad free agent signings, bad contracts, and missing on most of our higher draft picks.

I'm saying wait until the season ends for now, but starting off 0-4 might change my mind

Today? No, what would that do? Show the man who gave you your only championships and most accomplishments in franchise history a little respect and let him finish out the year.

End of the season? Yes.

Yes time for Payton to go, his message has gone stale, going on 4 years with no improvement.

Not now, but if this team has not improved significantly by season's end, then yes. Fire both.

In a perfect world, I think Loomis definitely needs to go, but I would keep Payton if you could strip away play calling duties, and let him have less say on GM matters and player personnel.

With ownership the way it is and Loomis being in bed with the NFL and NBA, I don't see that happening.

And, I certainly don't see Payton willing to stay on with a publicly diminished role.

Why is when these D coordinators get fired from the saints they go somewhere else and produce top defenses? Spags had the worst defense in NFL history, goes to giants after us and their D is ballin.

Other coaches had previous success. Allen is a failure of a coach. At this rate our defense has gotten worse.
