If the Redskins let Cousins play this year out. I think our realistic best option for our team is to sign Cousins.

Would be a pretty easy transition with not much drop off imo

Cousins is not and never will be on the same level as Brees. If we are going to pay for a good QB I want the best one for my money and its Brees.

Get ready bc anything related to brees getti g traded (if he lifts his clause), not resigning, retiring, anything related to him not being in NO...the fanatics here don't wanna hear that.

You can't keep Brees forever.

If Brees was retiring today, Cousins as a replacement would be a great transition. The question boils down to what kind of production you think you will get out of Brees after this year. It's hard to say at this point.

No shite.

He isnt retiring today unless he gets a torn labrum/rotator cuff

After this year? Pretty good considering we building one of the best Olines in the NFL. Brees>>>>>Cousins and its not close.

If Brees did leave, and we got Cousins, it would be making the best of a bad situation. The best option is to keep Brees as long as he wants to play.

You're aware that short of Kirk Cousins falling off a cliff, he's gonna probably demand a deal in the neighborhood of $100 million right?

It would be a huge drop off.

And why let Brees walk to play a much lesser QB at the same price? No thanks

Not sure about best, but i generally agree with this.

He'd be the best available option, but that doesn't mean he'd be great option, if that makes sense.

Yea, there's no way I want the Saints to be tied to whatever contract he's going to get.

Brees is a year younger than Brady. I think he has a 3 or 4 more years in him if the O-line can keep him healthy.

You're in for a serious dose of reality when Drew Brees leaves.
