LB Dont'a Hightower's meeting with Saints canceled

if you had your hopes up we might sign hightower its now no longer an option as far as the saints going after him.
not much more info then we canceled a planned meeting with him so make your own decisions as to the reasons why we are no longer interested in him

That news came out Friday night (iirc).

Looks like it was posted by Mark at some point yesterday.
But yeah with this much time passing and no deal announced it doesn't seem it was a case of us blowing him away with an offer, but rather us scoffing at his insane asking price.

and on an unrelated side note:
I cant remember where I saw it, maybe yahoo, but I also saw it reported that since being released byrd hasn't had anyone show any interest in him at all.
this makes me think there is an outside chance we might bring him back if its for a minimum salary thing or something like that
