Jamal Adams will be better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We should trade our whole draft to move up to #1 and take him!!!!!!!!! Then trade the 2018 draft for the #2 pick and take LF7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE HAVE BEEN 7-9 THREE TIMES BECAUSE WE HAVE NO LSU PLAYERS!!!!!!

Am I doing this right?

The team sucks. We are in a state that produces the most NFL talent and never draft from the school. Attendance is down.

Let's be sure to keep avoiding LSU players. It's working great.

So much LSU butt hurt on here. God forbid someone would want a player from LSU to play for the Saints. Just inconceivable..

You do realize Louisiana doesn't produce the most NFL talent right? It doesnt rank in the top 5 currently.

LSU does per college, this is true, but you idiots actually think the Saints have a vendetta against LSU?

I have nothing against the idea of taking a player from LSU. I am an LSU fan. I love LSU. I just think it's ridiculous that fans think there is actually some sort of conspiracy against LSU in the Saints front office and they are intentionally avoiding players from there. They aren't. If we are in a position where an LSU player is the highest player on our board I am confident they will take them (and should). But people on this board act like there is just like OBJ sitting there in the 7th round with a 1st overall grade and the Saints are like NO!!! LSU!!!

No, its the fact that it seems to be some peoples only qualifier for wanting a player. Ignoring the fact that there are also LSU bust out there and our coaching would not have done some of these guys any good anyway.

LSU, USC, Bama, Florida....who the F cares where they went to school. The team needs talent. I dont care where that comes from.

From an overall numbers standpoint, this is correct but per capita no state produces more NFL talent than Louisiana and it's not really close either.

quote:

The state of California has produced the most players in today’s NFL. They are followed by Florida, Texas, Georgia and then Ohio. These five state’s account for close to 50% of all players currently in the NFL. Southern California is the one area that has produced the most players, followed by South Florida, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Metro-Atlanta and New Orleans-Baton Rouge.

• On a per capita basis, the south dominates the NFL numbers. Louisiana leads the way, followed by South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and then Florida

quote:

Louisiana earns the top spot with a per capita score of 16.16. As I wrote back in May when I looked at the NFL Draft numbers and where these prospects were coming from I firmly believe that this number would be higher if it were not for Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Thousands in the Bayou State were displaced and moved to neighboring states like Texas, Mississippi and Alabama. Just the city of New Orleans alone is 29% smaller in population than prior to 2005.

Louisiana has a population of 4.64 million and currently has 75 players in the NFL.

The state of South Carolina has produced the highest number of NFL draft picks [per capita] over the last three years. When you look at the overall roster numbers/per capita the Palmetto State checks in at No. 2 with a score of 14.26. South Carolina’s population is 4.77 million and the state has produced 68 current NFL players.

Alabama (13.54), Mississippi (13.38), Georgia (13.1), and Florida (12.92) make up the next four states in per capita scores of all players in the NFL. Perhaps the most telling stat is that the top six producing per capita states are all from the South.

No. Not because he isn't great. But because we still have one of, if not the, best secondary year after year. Cam Robinson and Greg Robinson were bigger losses. 5 star true tackles in Louisiana are unicorns compared to other positions. They are tough to lose, especially to SEC West rivals.

Other teams look at and draft LSU players right before they pick pretty much every year.
