Some poor preferences mixed with some bad luck it seems.
No one drafted Collins. It wasn't like we were the only one that screwed the pooch.
Shelton/Beasley off the board before Peat. Peters after :(
We ended up with Kikaha after Mario Edwards and Preston Smith. Watching Kendricks, Darby, Gregory(even though he is retarded), and Frank Clark go after hurts for sure though. AJ Cann went early and everything I heard was that we were targeting him.
We still got Davison, Anthony, PJ, Swann, Grayson, and Tull who could all be something. Murphy is a good role player. Richardson in FA was a good find. These guys are all young.
I just think it is a bit off base to call out the FO for a missed pick. I know we needed it but I highly doubt Collins would solve all our problems.

Starting guard for next 15 yrs. Could've taken in 4-7 round. We are 60 fricking miles from BR, surely the Saints could've gotten inside info he wasn't going to be charged. Horrible blunder with multiple repercussions.

I understand where you're coming from, but if for no charge then he likely doesn't make it to us in the 1st anyway.
There is a possibility the organization was afraid of another "black eye" so soon after the bounty gate shite, but I'm just speculating.
Still don't think he is a savior, just a really good guard. Like I said, we had every intention of getting Cann from a lot of pre-draft talk. He will also be a 10+ year starter.
