Sad that it will. From what I have seen throughout his career, he's been a great leader with no off the field issues whatsoever. Sad for the girl first and foremost; however, this will probably be detrimental to his draft position now.

It said that the baby survived. It's receiving medical care. They also think it might be Collins' baby.

Uh, no. It's news. When famous people get questioned by the police regarding a murder, even if they're not the suspect, it's news. When it's a likely first round draft pick 48 hours before draft, it's definitely news.

Police shouldn't be releasing this info publicly. Since they did it tells me that maybe they don't think he is fully innocent. Not a suspect now does not mean not a suspect. I can't imagine that they would negatively effect his career if this was strictly formality. There's no reason for them to go to the press with this if that was the case.

Collins was suppose to be on the radio this morning on 104.9 but couldn't call in because he had "work he had to get done". I'm assuming now that that work was this investigation.
