Out of this bunch who would you go with first?

I personally like Dodd. 6'5 277. The only knock on him appears to be that he only has one full year as a starter in college.

Lawson wouldnt be bad either. 6'3, 270 and is much more proven than Dodd. His knock is that he only seems like an average athlete and has maxed out his upside.

Spence could end up being better than all of them, but he's only 6'2 250 and looks more like an OLB than DE.

I personally think with the amount of depth at DT in this year's draft, we could get away with taking one in round 2. Three or four good pash rushers in this year's draft and I hope we get one to pair with Cam Jordan.

Haven't seen spence since OSU , I'd go with him but allen is the DC and he runs 4-3.

If he can play in space they can use him like they used Mack

I like Lawson because you know what you're getting day 1:

High character guy that's tough and works hard

Proven disruptive pass rusher

Significantly improved his rush D

He has the package overall with very few holes

I think a Spence/Shaq/Ogbah/Floyd disscusion should come up at some point

I would not be mad if we drafted either Lawson or Dodd. Think both would be a solid Defensive End opposite of Cam Jordan.

Lawson at 13, Dodd would be a nice trade back coup

Noah Spence is dropping out of the first round according to a lot of scouts due to "terrible" interviews at the Combine. One guy even said, "We need to stop this narrative of Spence being a first round pick".

Disclaimer: the only clemson games I saw were the playoffs.

While watching those 2 games, it seemed backwards to me that they kept talking abut draft hype for lawson, dodd looked alot better. Shaq got sacks when he was supposed to but he seemed to move kinda awkwardly to me, didn't seem like the athlete dodd was, dodd seemed to play way bigger.

Although I do think he had hurt himself before the playoffs right?

Yep. I think Dodd will be a better pro, but part of me wants neither

that's not really small fwiw. a lot of elite pass rushers that size and smaller

And no one is talking about Shilique Calhoun from Mich St in RD 2.

Got the same or better measurables than the above group, and has did work vs B10 tackles the past three years. Could be an option in RD2 if we didnt go pass rush in RD 1

Nothing really wrong with that.

Dodd was really impressive this season and in the playoffs. Lawson is obviously good, but in my not so expert opinion, I like Dodd more.

I like Calhoun. And Nassib is somehow getting overlooked despite 15.5 sacks. If we want to go DE/DT or DT/DE in the first two rounds, there should be a lot of good combinations available.

That's not even counting:

Yannick Nagkoue(13.5 Sacks)
Bronson Kaufausi
Kalamei Correa
James Cowser

I love Calhoun too. But he's a second rounder IMO and there isn't really a dominant DT worthy of a top 12 pick. I have no clue who we should go first.

Shaq Lawson would be perfect at 12.
What do you guys think about Leonard Floyd maybe at 12?
