No one is acting.
A lot of us didn't like him.

We just don't feel the need to express that right after his death.

Just as many sports fans take their fandom way too seriously Kenny took his role of covering the team and being a reporter way too seriously.

What does it matter now if you liked him or not?

he accused Drew Brees of playing poorly because of a pain medication addiction. That didn't sit well with fans

Well that's not true. He didn't say he wa addicted

Said that game Brees knee was screwed up and they over medicated him and that's why he played poorly. Also said his wife was involved in over medicating him during that time. That got him kicked off 690.

But he did not say brees was addicted

ETA: the wife part was what did him in. Many other media members agreed with Kenny about that specific game and brees. Kenny was the only one willing to say it on air. But the wife part was the topper

he said he was addicted and was so fricked up during games that he was forgetting plays.

Brees went 20/22 in the second half of the game he claimed it too

no they didn't. Profootball talk ran an article about the inconsistencies in his story. The next day Brees was supposedly drop kicking in practice, etc.

Well you're wrong. PFT isn't local. Those are the media members who felt that. I think you have the wrong game btw. Brees was awful and the saints lost.

I know exactly what Kenny said. I had to listen to it 10 times and your facts are incorrect

Bu whatever. Cancer sucks and that's that

I agree with most of the assessments: he was a good sports reporter who got way too caught up with exposing 'scandals' or just leaking info for the sake of info. Granted Payton wanting to control the flow of information grates me the wrong way (and nothing like that would fly on the East Coast) but, in the end, if you're setting offensive records and competing for titles no one cares.

Fans were eager to hear the flaws of Mora, Ditka, and Haslett because they were mediocre to awful coaches. Still, it's a shame that WWL has been a pile of crap for nearly a decade. That Espn radio parody was spot on.

Both Bill Belichick and Bill Parcells disagree with that statement.

Doesn't matter if they disagree -- Boston sports talk radio is brutal. Ten times worse than anything the Saints experience here. Hardly an iron grip on the flow of information.

Just give up man. Yes cancer sucks and people shouldn't be being asshats about Kenny, but it is quite obvious Kenny was not very well liked by alot of people and he caused that.
Don't blame it on SP or some mean radio station managers.

I don't care if Kenny was liked or not.

And I got no issue with Payton wanting to control what gets out.

Just stating what I know dude.

Look, everyone in the media has an ego. Everyone wants to "break" the story and feel important. I don't care if it is Deke Bellavia, Bobby Hebert, or the ole Kaare Johnson. An ego boost is all some people have in life.

Kenny Wilkerson is gone. Let the man and his family remember the very best of the man. No one is perfect in this life. I was not a big supporter of Mr. Wilkerson but WWL radio is just a source of entertainment. I really don't care about the Pirelli Opinion Poll everday but I still listen from time to time. Let's face it, Isn't it better to work for the media than to pour hot concrete on the streets in New Orleans during the summertime ?

Everyone has an opinion. Some people just get paid handsomely to stir shite up. RIP. KW.

As stated earlier, I would take Wilkerson a hundred times over before the all time bore Christian Garrick.

And while Wilkerson may have crossed some boundaries (arguably, I'll say) he worked his way up to being a solid broadcaster. Seems some Saints fans are a little touchy when someone has the balls to do some straightforward, unbiased reporting.
