Kenny was sick for a good long while. I know many of you dislike him but he was a TRUE broadcaster.
His anger at SP and the Saints for the way he was treated really soured his coverage but still he was good people

Damn that sucks. I'm only 23, but grew up listening to him on the sideline and I liked him a lot more than I do Garrick now.

I'm 23 as well and feel the same way..I never really listened to anyone else broadcasting saints games, so this is a pretty big blow

Payton wants to control what's said about the team.
Kenny would openly discuss things that the saints and Payton did not want discussed.
SP and saints basically told wwl to dump him. So they did.
Kw took it personal. Who wouldn't? So Kenny went out of his way to throw dirt on SP. Vicodin was the big one I think but there were many other smaller kind of things.
Media being what it is in nola, kw had to fend for himself. His time on 690 and the TV show were purchased by him (sponsors he went to, secured and then used that money to pay those stations).
He was pretty much a pariah at the end. Right or wrong. Much of it was his own doing, not all but a lot of it was.
