can you imagine if we would’ve traded Ingram for a 1st and 2nd round pick and let AP take Ingram’s role on with the cheap contract?

Let me rephrase then, how would you feel IF it happened? Dumb move or do you think AP would fill Ingram’s spot well?
Personally I don’t think he would do as well as Ingram at all.

It's a good question to debate, but ultimately, if Kamara winds up playing 70% of the snaps, and Ingram/Peterson are only getting 30% then it's not as important.
Ingram looks like he has more in the tank right now, but if you could have gotten a 1st or 2nd round pick for Ingram (versus the 6th round pick we received for Peterson) then maybe you accept the dip in productivity when Kamara yields the backfield....but its a close call.
Ultimately, I think fans want to win now. We are tired of 7-9 seasons and Drew only has a few more years left, so I'm OK with shipping AP. I wanted to trade a RB to begin with so I'm glad this happened. Although admittedly, I was leaning towards trading Ingram to start the year.

I would take that in a heartbeat. Use the two picks for lineman, or a QB if Brees walks. We would do just as well with late round backs.
