My birthday is Saturday so me and my brother are bouncing out west to SF for the game

Anybody know any good spots to drink, eat, etc around Oyster Point? Supposedly it's only a couple miles from the stadium and close to the airport

Sounds exotic. Is that a family style restaurant?

We stayed downtown(plenty to do) and took the train to the stadium.

thanks. I've never been to Cali, and I'm pumped about the game.

We're at the Courtyard in Oyster Point and I think it's like 3.4 miles to the stadium so I'm thinking there will be shuttle to the game. I'm just looking for some options for Friday night and Saturday afternoon/night

I live in the Bay and South San Francisco is a piece of shite. Your best bet is to venture up to the city. Hopefully the Hotel has a shuttle that'll take you to the Caltrain and you can just venture up to downtown SF friday and Saturday night. Double check on shuttles to the game from that area. Candlestick is notoriously bad in location. Another reason why the 49ers are getting a new stadium. Shuttles to the game are not a given.

Make sure you pack up some cold clothes. Candlestick is on the Bay and can get really cold and windy. You should be fine since its an afternoon game but when I went to the Monday Night game last year I was freezing my arse off. Have fun and show off that WhoDat pride. There will be a ton of Saints fans at the game. Believe that.

I need to decide if I can afford to go to the game or just watch it in a sports bar with a bunch of 49ers fans.

Oh if there are any Saints fans in the area without a ticket, check out the Voodoo Lounge (may be a similar name) in SF. Tons of Saints fans go here to watch the games and it gets crazy.

Have fun all my WhoDat friends. Can't wait to watch us kick some Alex Smith arse.

The stick is kinda far from the city. Its in south san fran, not too far from the airport, but a 15 minute cab into san fran. You won't be eating at any restaraunts around the stadium. Stay in the city and cab or shuttle to the stadium. Bring a coat. It may say 62 degreed, but that wind in the stick can get very very cold. Even in the early afternoon. Have fun!

Thanks for the info

We are staying closer to the airport south of the stadium. It sounds like we need to look to go further north for food, drinks, etc. how far would that be from approximately the airport?

Thanks again

It'll be a cab ride to the city. Maybe a 10 minute ride. There are plenty of cabs. What kind of dining you looking for? High end, Pubs, chinese, mexican??

Maybe mid to high end one night, and probably pub style another. I don't think we get in Friday until late so probably play it by ear. Any thoughts/recommendations on places or locales to check out. We're there for the game and really not interested in getting too 'touristy'.

Really tons of places to eat. Can't go wrong. For high end, The Stinking Rose is pretty popular...but hard to get in. Bistro Don Giovanni is my favorite, pricy...but awesome. If you go to the pier you can get great seafood in very casual places. Lefty O'douls is an Irish pub....always packed, but is a fun place to hit up after the game. I'm jealous. Have a blast.
