Guess they don't want to risk the legal issues. Damn.

Sadly we likely won't get anything because other teams know he'd be released before the roster bonus is due.

Good. Hope we get rid of him. Locker room problem anyway.

No but if we don't find a trade partner the chopping block is likely.

Actually I just checked and these are the options with Galette:

Restructure bonus and keep saves $10 mil
Trade saves $11.75 mil
Cut loses $750 k

So we either keep him the next two years or trade him for what will likely be peanuts.

And that would put us drafting a pass rusher in the first (which we'll likely go HB even though we resigned Ingram and confuse the frick out of everyone).

if a peanut is a 1st rounder, I'm all for it

Now reality is, his cap hit for the next 5 years equals 44.35mil, avg of 8.87mil/yr

For a double digit sack guy in back to back years, some team is gonna try.

I sure hope so but I know others would have heard about the legal issues.

Maybe the Raiders would.

4th overall pick

maybe if we send our 3rd rounder or something too.

Can you imagine:
4th pick - Danny Shelton
13th pick - Vic Beasley

If he didn't have the roster bonus due way before that could have been a very likely draft day trade.

So this is what a team at the end of their window looks like. This sucks.

No this is what happens when a player set to make a lot of money is caught up in legal issues.

Clearly the report about Payton being done with Galette was true. He went and fricked over us and him with his (alleged)actions.
