It seems like he is always forgotten when handing out blame for the defensive struggles.. He's overstayed his welcome and no one else wants him..

I don't think Loomis has the balls to break his merry band up. I think that is part of why Ireland was brought in as well. It seems like Payton basically has free reign and can do whatever he wants and hands Loomis the list he wants regarding personnel. It's been discussed ad nauseum. Nothing will change until a defensive coordinator can bring in his own guys.

When somebody calls WWL and tells Deke and Bobby Vitt needs to go they lose their shite. "He's a good soldier", "has Payton's trust", etc. Whether he's doing a good job isn't ever a consideration.
