The guy will likely get more than 10mil+ a year. It would make him by far the highest paid TE. If he bitches about that, he can go.

The only thing it means is the organization knows what Jimmy does, doesn't do, and how much they are willing to pay for him. Every player does this sort of thing when there's a contract situation, and now that the arbitration nonsense is (almost) over, he is resorting to the age-old media campaign. Nothing to see here. As the season approaches he'll have less and less leverage, ultimately resulting in a contract, a nice dinner including Graham's agent, Graham, Loomis, and other women in various stages of undress.

Jimmy can get mad all he wants. If he doesn't want to sign a long term deal because the money, then we will tender him next year too. Saints have the leverage now.
