Jets STILL shopping DL Sheldon Richardson

It's been discussed before, but should we?
Dude could trim down to 280 easily and play on the other side of Cam. Gives us another option besides Okafor to rush the passer?

Losing 15 lbs. quite often changes the type of player you are and is very hard to do and stay effective. He's very similar to Jordan and Onyemata. Too much duplicity.

Thought he was more of a inside guy?

I question the fit since they play a 3-4

3 tech or big end, which we have in spades right now.

He's an outside 3-4 end, very much what Cam used to be.
Just thought it would be interesting. I still like Okafor, though.

Similar to Jordan AND Onyemata?

Not sure I'd want to pay him 8mil this year. Kind of steep considering he'd be playing out of position.

How much does Richardson make? Because while Onyemata flashed some it wasn't good enough for us to not consider an upgrade

Richardson is making $8m in the final year of his rookie contract in 2017. He would likely be looking for a long term contract and would probably need one for it to be worth it to trade for him.

Size and playstyle wise, wise guy. Didn't say Onyemata was as good as either, nor did I insinuate that.

Considering he didn't see the field much because Jordan never comes out and had Rankins and Fairley in front inside, I'd say it's unfair to say we didn't see enough from him, when we didn't see enough of him to know that.
That said, we are not paying $10 mil per for a guy we have 4 of already, 3 of whom are starters. It's too much duplicity.
If we get any big guy it would have to be a legit nose because I think we could upgrade over Davison.

Would you trade him for Stephone Anthony & a 2018 6th round pick?
Posted on 4/29/17 at 6:53 pm to TigerintheNO
No because we'd have to pay him. We have enough tied up and Cam and Fairley.
If we are going to trade for someone it's be a big nose or a speed rusher.

They've been shopping that guy since they drafted him.
Posted on 4/29/17 at 6:54 pm to TigerintheNO
Why do you think that Anthony is a valuable bargaining chip for a trade?
Posted on 4/29/17 at 7:01 pm to TigerintheNO
repeat after me
no one is trading anything for Stephone Anthony

NFL network says they are asking a lot for him. They did not say what but it was a lot.
