I wanted verrett. But he had an injury riddled rookie season and haven't really heard much from him since. Not sure if that's good or bad considering he's a CB.

The 2014 draft was historically one of the worst for the saints

The 2015 draft is looking to be one of the best

Things are looking up

While the stats are correct, and Cooks had a better day today, why do you list Landry's to as "lucky"? It's not Landry's fault the ball was tipped at the LOS, and if he wasn't tipped he was open and may have had a clean catch. After the tip, he did a fine job of making a play on a free ball. Seems like a cheap shot to me.

Should i go back and post every time landry had a better game than cooks. I should. you would look fairly dumb...

You already think a 10ypc is good because he makes a lot of 3yd catches. So I'm not sure what your criteria is, but please do it

I think the 5 TDs over the past 3 weeks should speak for itself at this point

Let's just ignore the whole #1 corner situation too.

Jarvis plays for one of most inconsistent qbs in the league. Do you even watch the games? Its obvious you do not. Jarvis is 10x more important for his team. He is a Miami fan favorite and rightfully so. Tremendous special teams player, tough arse nails, and sure handed as it gets. Very rarely does tannehil hit him in stride and catches balls with receivers draped over him regularly on underneath routes. Now watching cooks i see a receiever with elite speed....and im about done. I've watched him short arm passes and miss blocks. If jarvis played with brees this would not even be a conversation.

Most all would agree that outside of the last few games cooks has been extremely underwhelming for our 1st Rd pick.

Yes, most would agree with that since he missed the 2nd half of his rookie campaign and our QB was injured early in the season.

Most would also agree that Cooks has emerged as a damn fine threat at this point too.

But yea, take out the current 3-5 game stretch he's having in his second year to try and support your argument. That is logical

15th in yards for WRs
8th in TDs for WRs

yea bc given the rest of resume it's nothing more than an anomaly. Ok thats a reach but honestly wtf do you expect from the "#1 receiver" on the best offense with unusually average receivers?!
cooks is just the product of being the smartest kid on the fastest short bus

He's averaging 81 yards/game, 1 TD/game, and 16.2 ypc over the past 6 games

And anomaly? He's only played in around 20 games so far with half coming in his rookie season.

So yea, trying to ignore the most current 25% sample size is absolutely idiotic

Colston was pretty damn good and got around 80 ypg. That was with a much better offense and oline too

Your arguments are laughable.

Basically, what you're saying now is even if he does play well and produces, it doesn't matter because of our offense. I guess it doesn't matter that he had our only 2 tds yesterday

Nope. Not my logic at all actually

Try again

How about matthews>landry? Same qb and all

you and lester keep giving me stat sheets to attempt to prove your point. Doesn't take a fricking stat sheet to see that jarvis has been a better value than cooks thus far.

Better value or better? Let's try to stick to one argument here

Matthews > Landry? Somehow matthews averages 15 ypc with the same qb

By your logic, brown only produces because of big ben. Yadayadayada
