At what point did Jalen Collins become all world? Was it after the season or something? He's a really good kid and he's smart and he hustles, but he's not Patrick Peterson or anything. I don't think he's much better than T. Simon and he went in the 5th round.

Now don't get me wrong, I think Jalen has a spot in the NFL, but a 1st round pick is just too damn high. I'd say 3rd round would be more appropriate.

And he's a project CB that will take a couple of years before the light bulb goes on for him. But if/when it does, he could be a good CB. But just too risky to take in the 1st and even early 2nd. But someone will just because it's a weak CB class and it's a position of need. He does have potential though.

That's how I see it. I think another element being factored in is that LSU has put out some decent CBs the last few years and GMs are hard pressed to come up with anything to separate the guys in this poor CB class.

All of the "project" spots were used up in last year's draft.

Jalen has plenty of potential but he is not a first round CB. I would say late second or early third.
He doesn't have the nfl instincts for the ball yet and he misses assignments. He has the size and speed but I think the DBU reputation LSU has created may cause teams to reach.
And like another poster stated it is a weak CB class.

At least the rantards would stop whining about the saints not taking LSU players.

I actually like that the Saints don't take alot of LSU players. I hate to see an LSU player be a bust, but I would really hate to see an LSU player be a bust for the Saints and the Saints have a habit of making their players be busts.

At cb, it's not a stretch. We don't draft cb well. We do well at WR, some offensive line, defensive line is good, but definitely not Lb. The saints have not been a great drafting team.

And yes I agree on waiting til the 3rd for a CB. The CBs ranked like 2-5 will be taken too early by teams due to the need at the position. But there isn't a different between those guys and the CBs ranked like 6-10. Wait for 1.

I agree at CB, we have sucked at drafting those. We do good at WR, o line and d line, you can't always get it right but at those positions I would say we do good about 75% of the time. Now LB there's really no good way to judge that because we haven't drafted many since Loomis has been here. So the only thing we really suck at drafting is CB.

Loomis and Ryan are high on this JaCorey Shepherd kid and he will be there in the 3rd. So I think our two 3rd round picks are CB & WR. JMHO

Yea I'm with you on that. And there are a lot of quality WRs in this draft you can get late.

Tre McBride, come on down.

I really like this kid too. He's like a younger faster Colston. Could be an awesome find for us and we can get him in the 5th.....

Highlight Reel
(Ignore the really shitty music)

Deontay Greenberry, WR, Houston
Height: 6-3 Weight: 200
Projected 40 Time: 4.55
Projected Round (2015): 3-5

2/14/15: Greenberry totaled 72 receptions for 841 yards and six touchdowns in 2014. He has good size, but if he has the speed to separate from NFL-caliber cornerbacks isn't clear. Greenberry should have returned for his senior year, but he entered the 2015 NFL Draft. His stock could be hurt by not receiving a Combine invite.

8/27/14: Greenberry was the first Scout.com "five star" recruit to sign with Houston. He made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2012 with 47 receptions for 569 yards and three touchdowns. Greenberry upped his game as a sophomore with 82 receptions for 1,202 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The junior has size to go with speed. It wouldn't be surprising if Greenberry has massive production in 2014.

Yea his stock has gone up a bit lately. Could be a good player.

And I love Tyler Lockett. One of my favorite players in this draft. But I find him very similar to Cooks. But he's still 1 of my favorite players in the draft.

Here's a thread I made after the combine on some guys that I like in the mid to late rounds at all positions. LINK

I also really really like Justin Hardy a lot. He just has a knack for getting open.

And the 2 late CBs I like are Charles Gaines and Craig Mager, along with Shep.
