I was hoping Payton would keep him in for a full drive and give him the rock to get him started. Two carries then the bench for 8 plays isn't going to do it with this RB.

I dont think this is the problem... i think its becuase Ingram isnt used in a multiple way as PT and esp Sproles are.

If someone had time to look at the film, id be interested to see how many passing down Ingram was on the fieldd for compared to Sproles and PT.

It looks like the same rut we got in to last year: if Ingram is on the field, its going to be an Ingram run. Pretty easy for a defense to commit and stop.

Maybe there is a reason he isn't used the same way as PT and Sproles. I'm sure if he were good on screen plays or catching out of the backfield this coaching staff would be more than willing to use him that way.

Actually, I noticed Ingram was in on most play action passes yesterday. I don't see Ingram going into the flats as much as Sproles or PT though.

If you are going to compare Ingram to Ivory then you are missing one major category...fumbles. I haven't followed the Jets much but I did see some of the game the other day and in that short time span I saw Ivory cough it up. He's def a harder runner but the dude has a habit of losing the ball.

Ingram put one on the ground yesterday, but I think a penalty saved it or something. I can't seem to remember.

We couldn't have gotten a 4th rounder for Ingram. If anything this should be an Ivory vs John Jenkins thread.

Which is why he's not a good fit for us.

Horrible fit. I think when he's in, the opponents D just walks the Safety right up to the LOS. It would be kinda nice to see him in an Offense that pounded the ball like Tampa does but the Saints will never be that team with Brees and the rest of the firepower we have.

He will be traded.

He has no vision to see the crevasses . PT and the little guy finds the creases that are there .

He refused to run north/south for them, and still thinks he's in college doing that east/west shite

Updated with Ivory and all Saints running backs for week 3. As you should know, Ingram did not play this past week vs the Cardinals and Robinson got late 4th quarter carries the past week in his first action as a Saint.

Updated for week 4.

It looks like both Ivory and Ingram were out.

Also, Sproles got our first rushing TD of the year. Who would have thought that we could be 4-0 with only one rushing TD in the fourth week of the season.

Updated for week 5.

Ivory had a pretty good game and his ypc went up.

PT, Sproles and Robinson went down, but not by very much.

Can we get a comparison for their cheer leading skills at college football games? I think that omission is clearly a ploy to subdue Ingram's value.

Let's give a hand to Robinson.

He had 7 carries for 53 yards (7.6 ypc) and 1 touchdown. His first NFL touchdown!

Everyones (including Ivory) YPC went up this week except for Sproles who went down by .1 yard.

The season is still young, and we are clearly in the driver seat in the NFC South. It was good to see the rookie get in on a road game and get some kinda meaningful carries. 7 rushes, should have definitely been 10 or more. Robinson should be plugged in more and more as the season goes along.
Let him carry til he fumbles, and if he really wants to be a great back, he'll learn to protect it more.

Updated for week 10.

If you notice, PT and Ivory's number are very similar.

Everyone's ypc went up this weekend except for Ingram. But he still has the highest ypc.
