Just thought it might be nice to keep an ongoing watch of these two running backs through the season.
ETA: I added in the other Saints running backs as well.

Chris Ivory:
157 carries 705 yards 4.5 ypc 3 TDs (Long run 69 yards)

Mark Ingram:
62 carries 283 yards 4.6 ypc 1 TDs (Long run 34 yards)

Pierre Thomas
136 carries 521 yards 3.8 ypc 1 TDs (Long run 18 yards)

Darren Sproles
49 carries 219 yards 4.5 ypc 2 TD (Long run 38 yards)

Khiry Robinson
36 carries 156 yards 4.3 ypc 1 TDs (Long run 21 yards)

Jed Collins
10 carries 34 yards 3.4 ypc 1 TD (Long run 12 yards)

ETA: updated 12/16/13.

Part of me says "but the line didn't help Ingram at all yesterday" and then the other part says "he had an open hole and got destroyed by the Atlanta safety after about a 3 yard gain that should have been 10".

Still equal in fantasy value.

And the difference is the Jets don't have a good QB or WRs.

If were being fair, this is true. Its hard to run when you can shake hands with Babineaux immediately after you get the handoff.

Ingram would be really good if it didn't take him 35 steps to get to the line.

And it just looks like the difference between Pierre Thomas and Mark Ingram is this: Ingram turns 5 yard gains into 2 yard gains and Thomas turns 2 yard gains into 5 yard gains.

I do have to say that Ingram seems to never get great blocking on his run attempts AND he's never left in the game long enough to get into rhythm. One run and out for the next 5-10 plays has to suck.

If Ingram has to run it 4-5 times in a row to get going, he's on the wrong team. At least while Brees is playing.

Which is why he's not a good fit for us.

But I don't think it's fair to dismiss him as "horrible" or "the worst RB in the league" according to some here.

This I am on the Ingram support train this year, but I was hoping Payton would keep him in for a full drive and give him the rock to get him started. Two carries then the bench for 8 plays isn't going to do it with this RB.

Yeah I know "he sucks" according to the ST board, but I think he has the tools in the right system. This just doesn't seem to be the one.

It's almost like he did something to upset his oline, they refused to block for him

Wasn't just him I saw Sproles only gained positive yards on a couple of plays because he was small enough to dive between the Defenders legs. Run blocking wasn't there yesterday at all

Alot of good comments about MI. I have finally come around to say it seems this is the wrong team for Mark.
He looks like a steeler kinda guy.
Make it happen Mickey

...and he tackled himself at least once.

The guy simply doesn't have the vision. It is your worst nightmare when drafting a RB.
