It is unacceptable for a defense in the nfl to be so bad.

Sean Peyton and Drew Brees. Offense is all that matters. Money goes to offense. It draws fans. Injuries are an excuse. Defense wins championships. Rest my case.

Its a long season. We need to win next week to have something positive for our bye. Hopefully when we get back from the bye we can get healthy. This team isn't as bad as it seems (and I admit it seems very bad).

I saw some good defense against a good Giants team last week. If we can get healthy then we can be average on the defensive side of the ball. If we can be average defensively then we can win alot of games with drew brees.

the problem is the coaches on defense suck. thats why the defense has sucked every year, because despite bringing in umpteen coordinators, payton has forced his minions on whoever the dc may be.

Both statements are true...but sadly, Payton never fixed the gas tank and now the Saints look like a Pinto that was hit from behind.

That's because they have A good player (Mack) on defense that makes game changing plays. We don't. Hell, if our offense wasn't on the field so long, that 450 ypg would be closer to 550.
