The injuries to Bridgewater and Romo remind us all a team can make or miss the playoffs due to one single player.

With that said, if Brees stays healthy and two or three other starting NFC QBs miss significant time the Saints could be right there....

I'm hopeful but pessimistic as the last several previous drafts and the Saints' forays into FA don't exactly give any other NFL teams fear.

50:50 Chance the Saints make the playoffs.

No. The record will be 6-10.

You should turn in all your empties, cash in all your dollar scratch offs, pawn what gold you have left in your teeth, cash in now on the stolen copper wire, sell whats left of your plasma and place that bet in Vegas

If they would, it would have to be a year where 8-8 or 9-7 gets you in. I don't think double digit wins is realistic this season

Sure. If any teams in their division have key injuries anything is possible.

It's very possible. Things aren't really looking good, but the future is unpredictable. There is talent on this team.

Yes the team has a chance at making the playoffs. They are young so I think as long as we see improvements week to week they should be in good shape.

And about Peat

Well that doesn't surprise me. He's been awful.

No that just isn't true. That's such a general statement but not true if you actually watched and paid attention to him. Yes he hasn't graded well but no he has not been awful. Last week we were most successful when running right behind him. While his overall grade on the preseason isn't good but a lot of that is because he was being shuffled around. Most of it is from Clowney who he struggled against. That has a lot to do with starting the game inside at guard and then switching to LT to play against a number 1 overall pick.

IF, and that's an awfully big IF, 4-5 surprise players elevate their games far beyond expectations and the "core" of the existing talent can at least hold their own...there's prob. a 50/50 chance of a winning season/playoffs.
If this "improvement" does not happen = no chance at playoffs and the decline continues !

Anything is possible but if they aren't at least 3 - 1 going into the bye week, I would be astounded if they make it. That post bye week stretch of games would beat any team into submission.

Too broad.

Do I expect 2016 Drew to play at a similar level as 2015 Drew...Yes.
Do I think our skill players have improved...Yes
Do I think our OL will play at a similar level as 2015 and be our biggest hinderance offensively...Yes

Is our DL better...OMG Yes
Are our LB's better...Yes
Is our secondary better...Yes

We were 7- 9 last year and 5 of those losses were single possession. We also dropped 5/6 games after Forbaith's Tennessee Titans GW chip shot miss.

If we miss the playoffs this year REAL coaches need to be fired. Not DL Coaches Personal Secretary/Coffee brewer.

Forgot to carry the 6 in step 8 when figuring the odds of a three game win streak in weeks 8-11.

Sorry.

No way in hell this team makes the playoffs. Anyone who doesn't see this team as having MAJOR problems is blind. I'd take an under of 7 wins for the Saints this year. I think this will be their worst season under Payton. Their depth is atrocious and you need depth to make it to the playoffs.
