I'm not sure on the answer to your question, but I think Peat might be our best option at LT until Armstead gets back.

This will most likely be the case with Rammstein manning LG

He's good at either, but just keep him on the left side.

Armstead is a better LT so IF/when he is fully healthy he should start there.

I'll be curious to see how Ram does at LT. If he plays well there Peat likely stays at LG. Hell if Kelemete is healthy Peat may stay at LG.

As for the actual question, I think he could be just as good at LT or LG. He's quick enough to pull at guard and has solid pass protection at both spots.

Still funny how we loathed Stephone Anthony his rookie year and hated him in year 2. Where as Peat was hated as a rookie and now we are happy with him.

Just a drunk perspective about those 2 first round picks we had in 2015. i just realized as many of you probably already have

No. If we do that we only have 2 or 3 starters on the line from last year depedning on Unger. Peat would have to get comfortable at the LT position all over again. Ram has to get comfortable playing LG. If Unger cant start, you have a new C. Warford at RG and Streif at RT. What happens if Armstead comes back? 2 players have to swap positions all over again?

frick that. Continuity along an Offensive line is what you want.

Its better to leave Peat at LG and let Ram play LT. We have a rookie playing C in Ungers spot if he cant go. The right side of the line is solid with Warford and Streif.

Having Peat play LT and Ram at LG, then Armstead comes back and Peat has to go back to G? Didnt we slow his progress down by having him play more than one position? Peat is now our starting LG and Ram will be given every opportunity to start at LT the way it should be.

Here is all you need to know how this is playing out.

Streif taking Ram under his wing

Peat is the LG, period.

Don't tell beat writers on Twitter that. They're quick to tell you we drafted him to play RT.

But yes, Peat is our LG of the future. You leave him there at all costs and move other pieces around if necessary.

The only way I see Peat playing LT is if Ramcyzk is just awful and can't go

equally good at both. Eventually you need to quit moving him around and actually, you know, let him get settled into a position.

Personally I think he performed better at LT than he did at LG last year. But Armstead is still a better LT... If we were cutting Armstead permanently then it would make sense to move Peat. As of now, Armstead is still the long-term plan at LT so it makes sense to keep Peat at LG because that has to be considered his long-term position as well.

I don't know what they will do. Peat has talent and played well at LG according to the coaches but has not looked that good at RT or LT yet. Do they stop moving him around and let him excel at LG or is he the best option we have on the team right now for LT?
I don't see Senio or Harris as 8 game starters at LT. We have picked up a 12 year vet and a rookie who only played 1 year at tackle in div I so those are not great options it seems.
Is there a trade option for a LT before or during camp that will be better than juggling our o-line again? We already have a new RG and a LG who has played there for just one year.

Don't think Peat has the feet to play T. Just my opinion.
