Byrd has nearly 17 milion in dead money left. Dude would be sacrificing a shite load of money retiring.

Forgive me if this was mentioned before in this thread, but I just "heard" something from "them" that Byrd is mulling retirement and that he and the Saints are discussing a settlement. Anyone in the know hear anything like this?

I find this incredibly hard to believe.

After this off season it would seem like the most likely truth.

That's probably the best case scenario for the Saints.

@miketriplett: Among those I didn't spot at #Saints luncheon before their trip to Green Bay: Keenan Lewis, Jairus Byrd, Zach Strief, Bryce Harris.

He even missed the luncheon before green bay. What's with this fricking guy?

Funny how Byrd's rehab time always coincides with Saints practices, games, and even team luncheons open to the media.

We just aren't going to play with a secondary this year.

From a March 5, 2015 article:
quote:

Things are off to a decent start on that front as Byrd announced Wednesday that he’s been cleared for a full return to action. He should be on the field for offseason workouts as he and the team try for better defensive results.

This brings almost as many LULZ as his $26 million guaranteed.

Of course, just find it funny how way back in March he was good to go.

well its not rocket science to think he's had some setbacks/swelling/amputations or something.
