I'm more and more convinced we go CB early

In the first 3 rounds.

Keenan Lewis is recovering from some fairly major injuries, Swann may have to retire/may not be able to play because of concussions, PJ Williams has never played a snap.

Breaux is basically it.

I know we all want defensive front 7 desperately, and a guard and a WR...

But look at our past history of valuing CB in the draft. Look at our depth chart. I'm not going to be surprised.

I admit I am probably overly optimistic about the three you mentioned: Lewis, Swann, and Williams. If the two former come back at close to good, then we're in good shape. If Williams turns out to be even serviceable, we're in great shape.

I do like Kyle Wilson in the CB3 or CB4 role aswell, so we don't even need all 3 of those other guys to show up. Just two, or even one if we're desperate.

I would be fine with a 3 or maybe even a 2 being spent on CB, but I am vehemently against a CB in the first at the spot we pick at. The only DB I think is worthy of a top 20 pick is Ramsey and he will not be there for our pick. I like Hargreaves, don't like the size. Alexander is going to bust, for sure. Nowhere near worth a first round pick.

I don't know much about the kid from Houston. I know he's good and is rising in drafts but hasn't cracked the top 20 in much. Same with Eli Apple.

I have to disagree here. If we don't go all in to build a very strong pass rush it won't matter who we have in the secondary. We have got to get to the QB in under 3 seconds on a consistent basis.

Darrel Revis and Pat Peterson at CB wouldnt make a difference with no pass rush.

Improve the front 7 dramatically and watch how much better Breaux looks. I'm sure we draft a CB at some point, but imo its will be a project with high potential (R. Robinson).

Theres just not many "elite" cb prospects in this draft so why should we try to "win the lottery" by picking one of those guys early when the draft is loaded with DL talent? Chances of landing a stud are significantly higher drafting dline early than CB.

IMO

I think a stud reciever at 12 would be a good decision. Our track record picking cor ner backs early is suspect

Some of you are confusing what I want to happen/ what I think will happen.

I want Front 7 early and often. Pass rush, coverage LB, etc.

But I think we will go CB early. I think they will ignore LB early, and they will still pick a DL guy, but will also pick a CB.

This dude is so overrated. I saw him get beat routinely last year.

Now this dude I want.

I wouldn't be mad at CB early. Denver had Talib and Harris and still took Roby in the first last year. But they also had Von Miller, Demarcus Ware, Shane Ray, and Malik Jackson rushing the passer...so...you need both. We're closer at CB than we are D-line I'll say that.

Alright alright

They would make a difference, but still CB isn't our number 1 need. I follow Keenan on IG. He's good to go bro

True. One reason out DBs looked so terrible was the lack of pass rush.

They're called coverage sacks

It's what made the 2013 defense so good

Mills isn't worth a second rounder

Why would KV go anywhere?
