Kaepernik can wear "pig socks" but lets not let the cowboys show respect to cops. This will be my last year as a season ticket holder if this isn't handled.

Kaep would be fined if he wore pig socks during games if it makes you feel any better.

I agree with your anger; however, I don't know all the details involved in this. If the NFL does indeed allow him to wear these socks while also denying the Cowboys their opportunity to show respect to the fallen officers, then they are a trash industry run by a trash commissioner.

Oh wait...

ETA: to those ripping on you for this, what they hell is wrong with yall? You find it more bothersome that this poster is upset with Kaep's disrespect and the appearance of the league's support of it than the actual disrespect of our flag and assassinated cops? You all need to check yourselves, because you're getting too carried away with this "let's take every opportunity to sarcastically rip others on the interwebs from the safety of my anonymous computer."

How could you possibly be this rattled by what socks a 3rd string QB is wearing at practice?

Game time uniforms are very tightly controlled by the NFL.

Don't think they give a sh!t over pre game or practice wear.

You should write Kap and tell him he's a pin head and write the NFL telling them they made the wrong choice on the helmets.

Sell your tickets now and show them you are serious. Waiting a year seems to be a very weak form of protest. JMO

It's the wrong board. It has nothing to do with the Saints. It should either be on the political board or more sports board.

I'm ripping him because this shite doesn't belong here.

Dude, don't be "that guy." Saints are part of the NFL. While this could certainly find it's path on another board, there is a place here for it as well. Why don't you allow the admins to determine this instead of coming off as a hateful prick. You're better than this

It's the pussy world we live in. People more worried about offending the minority while minority says whatever they want. If white guy wore something making fun of something black or Hispanic the world would be lit on fire

This has been talked to death. Do we really need another hot take on this topic?

And no, I'm not "better than this." I can be grumpy if I want.

The league doesn't care or even know what socks you're wearing in practice.

Isn't that exactly what he's doing toward the NFL? The NFL is not saying the Cowboys can't honor the police officers, they're saying they can't alter their uniforms. I agree it seems silly, but they have been--and have to be--uniform(so to speak) in their policy. It's a slippery slope. They are hypocrites with the breast cancer thing, though.

The breast cancer thing is a pretty big farce and obvious marketing. Unfortunately there isn't money in doing something genuine.

Will the NFL allow him to wear them in a game? They better n

If he wants to sit for the National Anthem, that's his problem.

He'll be cut. I doubt any team will pick him up. Who needs the drama.

I know at least one desperate clown shoes team will sign him.
