Why am I trading up for Allen?

Because he is awesome, and his dad is a Nuclear Biologist for the Army.

We won't trade up for Allen, but it would take next years 1st, this years 42, and maybe even a 3rd if you aren't willing to give up 11 this year. If you give up 11 and a high 3rd, you can move up to maybe 8 or 9. Again, this is all a moot point, we won't move up for Allen.

No. Is allen supposed to be some can't miss prospect or exactly the type of player that we need?

I don't think a trade up is in the cards at all the first two rounds. There is a lot of talent there. 3rd-5th rounds is where I could see us moving up.

I don't have him as 100% sure even at 11. As pointed out, it would be a replication of the Rankins role. If you have him ranked high enough on straight value differential you take him and deal with the position issue. I could see Conley or Foster picked ahead of him if all were available. We really have no insight on the shoulder issues. I've read some have knocked him down 10-15 spots for injury risk.
