If Payton wants to leave trade him to a team that wants him. Start completely fresh, Hire Wade Phillips as HC, Vic Fangio as DC, and let him bring his own guys in. Hopefully Mike Singletary as LB coach. draft either Conner Cook,any top WR or Jared Goff if they wanna go offense, but defensive players Joey Bosa, Robert Nkemdiche, Shilique Calhoun, or either of the top Corners

If I were GM, I'd begin listening to offers for Brees. Do I want to trade him? No, but we've got far too many holes for him to mask and seeing as he'll be 37 soon, his contract has got to go.
Next, go throughout the roster and look at pieces who might potentially land us numerous draft picks. Guys like Jairus Byrd, Cam Jordan, Mark Ingram and what not.
After, get with Sean Payton on his future as opposed to just trading one of the top offensive minds in the game. See what his opinion on the roster and the franchise as a whole is and see if he wants to be part of the re-building. If not, then trade him and get what we can for him. Though Rob Ryan and Greg McMahon would be let go.
Finally the draft; we have got to load up and I am talking about acquiring nearly ten picks if not more. Trying to land as many as I can in the top 4 rounds.
From there, it's a crap shoot but that's what I would do.
