Good lord, Drew is a greedy dude. All jokes aside though- Carson Palmer only made $7million this year. What's that all about?

His resurgence at this age when he was relatively shitty the past 10 years is kind of unheard of.

Brees has to restructure this year.

Absolutely has to.

I don't think he's going too, hell he said he's not going to restructure and he's wanting more money per year. Maybe one of you can find the link to that article...

That list is a single year cap hit, not how much was made this year.

That is a shitton of error. I don't think many teams with cheaper QB contracts could suck of that much dead cap weight.

Thats ridiculous, all the other names restructure.

He is hurting the team.

Why would he not?

Joke of a post. Why not compare the length and cap hit each year for all of the QBs?

Brees contract is no worst than a lot of QBs. We chose to back load the cap hit. We also will restructure to relieve some of the cap hit.

Every team in the league makes bust signings.

Has any team had 34.3M in dead money in 2015 and 14.8M so far in 2016. That is 49.1M in 2 years and we have not even started the roster moves for 2016.

I doubt any team has even come close to sniffing that over a 2 year period (most won't even see that over 5 years).

What makes it worse is we all know we will see multiple threads bitching about Drew's contract until it is extended. Which ALL parties said it would be addressed in the 2016 offseason.

He's making it up

Hell, he restructured this year

What we're really looking for is an extension at a reasonable price

Let's compare Brady to the rest of the league.

Brady is running the team friendliest contract of any quarterback not on a rookie contract.

Not Rodgers, Brees, Newton, Manning, Roethlisberger, Palmer, etc are even in the same realm.

Let's look at the context of the contract ad well. He signed an extension in 2013 with 1 year left in 2014, arguably his worst year and continued declining stats for 3 straight years at the age of 36. 3/27 and if he was to be on the roster of week 17 in 2014, the extension becomes fully guaranteed. If he got injured in 2014, 24 of the 27mil extension would be fully guaranteed.

Know what that means? If he continued to suck into 2014 (which he did. Remember the benching? Before he became Brady of old) and finishes the year, either patriots cut him and they eat 27mil over 3 years or they keep him on the team and he gets paid 27mil. If he got hurt at 37 in 2014 and suffered a nasty one, he gets paid 24mil and never plays again.

That was the ultimate risk for the team.

It's weird that you call it a contract instead of a penis.

Well, we lead the league (by far) in restructing contracts.

Even after he restructures there still won't be money for FAs.

Get to cuttin'.
