Colston is an old cog in a new wheel. This team of youngsters is starting to click, Brees has got some new fearless targets and Marcus is just starting to look out of place. Will always be one of my faves in black n gold, Smoove on big guy.

I just think Colston is tarnishing his image at this point, and I hate that.

Saints will let him finish the year and he will retire...nothing but respect from both parties to each other

Agreed but it also looks like Brees is trying to keep him in the picture with no results. Time to throw to him less.

He is not even good enough to be a distraction when in.

Nobody believed Drew was gonna pass to Colston on that last play, Waldon just shoved him out of the way to make on Spiller.

While I agree that he is done and his drops have almost caused me to break things in my house this season...I thought that game winning catch was

Hopefully he can build on it and tap into whatever magic Larry Fitz has been having this season. He seems to have never recovered from the season opening loss a year ago.

Let's for one second say that he does make those catches that he dropped. Those are just his hands...a lack of concentration, maybe? If he makes those catches, he's still somewhat relevant. He made a great catch over the middle just before the catch to ice the game.

I think he's in a sharp decline, I think he cares a lot, and I think he'll have a bit of a resurgence. Nothing spectacular, but he'll be reliable again soon.

This is the end, though. It's very apparent.

I think it's the big shots he's taken to his hands/wrist area over the years. If I recall correctly, he's been on the injury report the last few seasons with hand/wrist aliments. Maybe those injuries have lead to a weakening of his hands/wrist which isn't allowing him to make some of those catches he once did or hold onto the ball through contact.

I think of all the times he got smashed catching those passes in the middle of the field just before getting creamed by a safety. I think mentally that has scarred him more than any injuries.

I talked with Jimmy back in 2012 before he got paid and he basically said the same thing.

Drew would look at him in the huddle and would say something to the effect of its going to be a big play if you can hang on...look at you your big you can take it.

Jimmy said it laughing because it was off season at the time and he even recalled it with Drew's annoying optimism it actually made me laugh and feel bad for him at the same time.

No, we are rebuilding. I'd say our car looks more like this.
