I heard Deek and Bobby tell a story today...

They were discussing when Sean Payton put a punter off of the plane ride home from Chicago because he kicked the ball to Hester and he returned it for a TD to defeat us.

I just googled the story. He got taken off of the team bus and handed a flight itinerary home, written out on a napkin!

It was after the Carolina game back in 2008. Weatherford did not get on the plane back home.
Game was on 10/19/08 and he was "officially" released on 10/20/08 as per wiki.

I happened to be on the same plane as Jim Henderson, Hokie Gajan and Gus Katengell that night. LSU played South Carolina the day before and then we drove to see the Saints lay an egg the next day 30-7.
It was after the Carolina game back in 2008. Weatherford did not get on the plane back home.

While touring the Saints facility on Thursday,
I was told the story of how Payton cut a punter
who hit the interior of the indoor roof with a punt after he was warned not to by the headcoach.
Sean obviously has no tolerance for punters who don't obey orders.

Yeah, as we were sitting at the gate waiting for the plane, Hokie & Jim were explaining to us that Weatherford is a complete douchebag and Payton cut him right after the game ended.
LSU best South Carolina which was great, but the Saints really sucked that day in Carolina.
