How would U add Saints draft picks for 2018 ?

Saints are short a 2nd round pick in 2018.
How would you add additional picks for their 2018 Draft ?

Trade down in next year's draft. Not sure any player that we'd actually want to trade would get us that high.

I'm not worried about the 2018 draft. Win now develop the talent we have and make the most of free agency next year.
Say you stay the same and have no 2nd round pick. You still have a 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th round. You expect your 1st-5th rounders to make the team, so that is 5 roster spots. You expect maybe one or two of your PS squad players to move up. That moves you to 7 spots and then maybe add in 2 undrafted free agents and now you are at 9 new players on the 53 man roster. You have a list of players under contract so you know what free agents you have to target.
The only thing that sucks about not having the pick is the knowledge of who would have been there. Maybe you miss next year's Mike Thomas or Alvin Kamara.

I guarantee we will somehow wind up with a 2nd round pick next year. Whether its trading up into the round or trading a player with some value like Armstead.

Have way too many no name players blow up and ball out during the season causing teams from around the league to come to the Saints begging to trade draft pics for players. Simple.

We won't unless a Saint players stock rises at the end of the season and he becomes expendable. Even though it was a third the Stills trade comes to mind.

Why are you even worried about the 2018 draft? We are in pre season and we just came off of a draft with 5 selections with 2 first rounders so why does this even matter? Do us a favor and post less.
