I noticed on one play where he blew up the O-line on the goal line to stop the run. Any other key plays?

All over the place in the 1st half with several run stuffs. Remarkable for being with the team 3 days so hats off to him and Rob for making it work.

Didn't notice him as much in second have perhaps ran out of steam a bit?

Made a huge play in the first half. Didn't see him much in the 2nd half. Basically it was Anthony and Mauti the 2nd half.

I wish those that crap on the defense would consider the amount of new players and rookies on the team and specifically the D.
I mean Humber and Mauti in at LB'er who were not even in camp a few weeks ago
Some plays there is only one D-lineman from last year and 4 of 5 CB's new as well. Its a unbelievable number of new faces on that side of the ball this year. Someone said we are starting the most rookies in the NFL this year?

It really is amazing that the D full of rookies and new players can show steady improvement, but the minute they get in a shootout and have a subpar game these same idiots who call for LSU coaches to be fired after a loss call for the DC's head. Yet the offense score under 20 for multiple weeks, go through huge slumps for quarters at a time and play below average without much criticism. There is a ton to be excited about with these young guys.

The defensive stats are interesting.

D held giants to 25 min of poss.
D held giants to 87 yards rushing.
D held giants to 1-8 on 3rd down.
D held giants to 5 1st downs on rushes.

So what gives?

Giants got 7 1st downs on penalties

I think they all have to bag groceries while waiting for the call up. Some rule or something.

I thought the front 7 played very well. The D-Line was always moving the pocket and pursuing the QB while keeping containment(very disciplined, relentless rush)...Eli was not very comfortable back there.

The LB'ers stuffed most runs and were killing it in the RZ. Meeting RB's in the backfield on every snap down there.

As for the secondary...they have an entire game tape of work to analyze. Breaux did struggle but he did so against one of the best pure WR's in the league.

Penalties have bit us all year in the secondary and while most of our guys seem to work on it Browner is a habitual offender. I think most would accept some of his physicality penalties...but multiple 3rd down offenses kept the NYG in the game and will cost us other games down the stretch if he continues to play that way in critical spots.

I think the defense should get a lot of blame in terms of the way the game played out...but I think it is mostly an overreaction. They were very close to playing a very solid game. The penalties kept so many drives alive that resulted in TDs and most were backbreaking auto 1sts. The holding call on Breaux alone that wiped out what would have been a sack fumble would have drastically changed the game.

This defense confuses me so much. One week they're showing so much promise, discipline, and playing excellent. The next week they're just so lost in the secondary

A couple of the penalties on browner were laughably bad.
