How can the Saints staff be so stupid?

Does this not clearly show who should be/have been running the ball?? With by far the minimum amount of carries, Ivory has the rest of his stats sure looking pretty even or close to the others who have had 2-3 times the carries. Not to mention his yards per carry(Which if i remember right has always been up there). Oh and he has longer runs than the other two with 1/3 the carries. Don't get me wrong PT is great. He's a huge threat running and receiving the ball and when he gets consecutive touches he seems to come alive and start busting tackles and awwwin everyone in the stadium. It just seems as if he comes in makes a couple beast runs, completely runs over 2 defenders then gets benched so Ingram can run(Or put his head down and run strait forward whether there is a hole there or not). Ingram never Wows anyone with any of his runs. I can't recall a run he's made where i was like damn that's a beast right there. They're plain ugly. And boring. I know this has been posted a bazillion times but it bothers the hell out of me how you have 2 obviously better running backs, but to the Saints staff, Ingram is the man. Even the announcers always seem to talk good about him? If i were Ivory I would ask for a trade at the end of the season. He is a great running back in his prime and isn't being given the opportunity he deserves. He could be a big name back put in the right place. As far as PT he's been there done that and he's a die hard Saint. I never want to see him leave.
I just don't understand it at all.

Let's put Chase Daniel at running back is what you're saying?

I agree. Chase Daniel should be getting more carries.

We need to give the rock to Opponents for show.

He has the highest avg. per carry

Yea we could run the Chase Cat formation and rip defenses apart.

Going by your chart its the Chase we should be using.
So you can see its not as plain as that.
Drew has a higher play action comp% with MI than PT.
Just another factor in the coaches game planning.
Plus you leave out the most important number this year.

Thats the amount of games CSP has coached so chill the F out.
Have a cool beverage and easy on calling pro coaches 'stupid' Einstein.

trust me i know the fact that SP isn't there has a lot, if not everything to do with this up and down disappointing season. One week we look great and have it all together, then the next week, the guys that made the big plays the week/weeks before are barely played. Makes absolutely no sense. I don't think you have to be a professional coach to see this.
And as far as the play action %, that can easily be just a coincidence or the fact Ingram is in the game more esp for play action.

I for one would like to see Ivory more. But numbers don't always tell the story.
It's going to be interesting when coach gets back. We shall see.

I'm not a football expert by any means. Just a fan. But in my opinion, as many others have said on here, it's the lack of adjustments during the game that is doing them in. And CSP is boss on that end of things as well as initial game planning. He's just too big of a piece of the puzzle for it to work without him.

Thanks for reminding me that Jamaal Charles had a 92 yard run against us.

there was an interesting stat on how bad the defense was earlier in the year...
If you equated what they were giving up every week it would have been like playing a team having all of Peyton, AP, & Megatron all together. That would 0-4 most all teams.
For the RBs I'd like to see Ingram and Ivory get max reps to both evaluate which one ya wanna keep and enhance the value of the other for trade. Some good show and might could get a 3rd Rder (at best).
Ivory will be RFA. I'd guess 2nd Rd tender or he could be taken.
Ingram has two more years on his rookie deal.

PT should be getting most of the carries. Ivory should be getting about half as many carries as PT. Ingram needs to just sit down and shutup until he puts up.
Nice YPC Daniel

Wow, I didn't know about this. MI is a star!

Ivory would've gotten more carries if he didn't have ball security issues during camp and the pre-season. It was stated during training camp that Cadet was outperforming him. He practiced lazy and I'm sure that put him in the dog house.

Yes, Ingram needs to sit on the bench until he proves his worth in games.
Good point.

I think the Saints gave him a really good opportunity by letting an UFA play in the first place.
Not saying I agree with you or disagree, but he's a professional football player who has gotten a pretty big opportunity.
