re: Honey badger

the point is others have recognized his greatness outside of LSU fans.

to say he can play does not make you an LSU homer whatsoever. he was the most exciting non offensive player in the country.

i agree you don't draft him early. absolutely agree. i'm just saying i wouldn't say he can't play because he's 5'8.

I'd prefer a corner who can cover.

Man TM7 was a different maker at LSU He is a lit better then any DB the saints have right now. If he decided to clean up and work. The sky us the limit for that kid. I'm pulling for hin.

re: Honey badger
What the saints need is a PLAYMAKER. Someone who can swing the momentum of a game and get everyone pumped up. All decent defenses have one. Who is ours? It used to be sharper, but now we dont have one. If he's available in the 5th, which im not sure he will be, we should take him. It can't get any worse. Also, all of yall are kidding yourselves if you think NFL players dont smoke weed. I bet numerous saints players do, its just covered up and not tested in the NFL.

You don't draft solely special teams players. That's all hb will ever be. If he's lucky enough to make it to the nfl. He's too small to cover nfl receivers.

Yeah he is in college, but if we drafted him I doubt it'd be too start, but I'm sure he could fill the Nickel or Dime role well. The thing is he's going to need to be able to cover guys in the slot with elite speed. (I know he has great speed) Him and Sproles on KR duty would be deadly, and hell he could maybe even be the backup Sproles.

But, I would take him with a 4th no doubt.....I would actually maybe try to trade up in late 3rd if he was there

Are you stupid? Trade UP to take a guy with off field issues? I'm so happy some of you dolts don't run this team

re: Honey badger
if he wants to be return guy/gunner type guy im down with using a 6th round pick on him. I could see him being like a devin hester type with out playing wide out. Hester was a corner coming out of college as well.

re: Honey badger
Look Saints desperately need a defense playmaker. TM7 is arguably one of the best play makers in the last 20 in CFB (he played in the best conference and he set TO records for a historical school even though only playing 2 yrs and only 1 yr as a full time player).

His size and off field issue are somewhat concerning; however, the Saints have a very strong staff who can handle some players with some off field concerns. He is DEFINITELY worth a look.

He has prob lost a couple of rds bc of his off field issues so right now his value is prob arnd late 3rd early 4th (obviously combine will determine his final value).

Our defense has zero playmakers so one of the greatest playmakers in CFB needs to be considered and is ABSOLUTELY worth taking a long hard look at!

His value was second round before the concerns.

Yep. Maybe late first at best. There have been oodles of players that were great in college that just didn't have the game to play in the nfl. He was never viewed as a pp7 type prospect. It seems to me that he was being viewed as a tim tebow of db's. I don't deny that he has a lot of potential, and he could be great in the nfl. However he has always been viewed as a nickel/dime and special team player for the nfl. Those guys aren't viewed as a premium. Teams want to pay for shut down corners.

When you add in his repeated disregard for the rules, his value drops like a rock. It isn't just weed as a character concern. It's that he knew his behavior would cost him, and he never changed it. He made the same mistake 4 times I think. This hints that his issues are chronic (pun intended).

There is always the chance that someone will take a chance on him around 4th round, but to me he is 6th round value at best. Again, I would not be surprised if he wasn't drafted. He can't contribute if he can't get on the field. I guarantee this is how teams will see it.

He'll return punts and be the nickle back in the NFL. I would go for him in the 6th or 7th round due to his drug issues.
