Looking back at some of the QBs the Saints have had in the number/countdown thread. Went back and pulled all the QBs who have started for the Saints and their record.

Only 5 Saints QBs with winning records.

Drew Brees 62-33-0
Mark Brunell 0-1-0
Todd Bouman 0-3-0
Aaron Brooks 38-44-0
Jeff Blake 7-4-0
Jake Delhomme 1-1-0
Kerry Collins 2-5-0
Billy Joe Tolliver 2-9-0
Danny Wuerffel 2-4-0
Heath Shuler 4-5-0
Billy Joe Hobert 4-8-0
Doug Nussmeier 0-2-0
Jim Everett 17-30-0
Wade Wilson 7-7-0
Mike Buck 0-1-0
Bobby Hebert 49-26-0
Steve Walsh 10-9-0
John Fourcade 7-4-0
Richard Todd 6-8-0
Ken Stabler 11-11-0
Guido Merkens 0-1-0
Dave Wilson 12-19-0
Archie Manning 35-91-3
Bobby Douglass 3-5-0
Larry Cipa 1-2-0
Bobby Scott 4-10-0
Ed Hargett 1-5-1
Karl Sweetan 0-2-1
Ronnie Lee South 0-1-0
Gary Cuozzo 3-7-0
Billy Kilmer 11-29-0

____________
I remember wanting Drew Brees in the draft. I remember wanting to trade Brooks (when he was at his best) for Drew when he was struggling in San Diego. I had that one right.

I'll admit that I had Heath Shuler and Wade Wilson wrong. I thought both would be much better than they were for us.
_____________

Everybody remembers Jim "Chris" Everett! I remember him being a decent QB, but the team kind of sucking.

Remember Danny "who turned out the lights" Wuerffel?

____________
Interesting facts:

Only four Saints QBs have thrown over a thousand completions for the Saints.

quote:

Drew Brees with 2488
Archie Manning with 1849
Aaron Brooks with 1563
Bobby Hebert with 1202

Jim Everett has 958, but the next closest guy is Kilmer with 592.

Only three Saints QBs have thrown for over a hundred TDs.

quote:

Drew Brees with 201
Aaron Brooks with 120
Archie Manning with 115

Five Saints QBs have thrown for over 10,000 yards for the Saints.

quote:

Drew Brees with 28394
Archie Manning with 21734
Aaron Brooks with 19156
Bobby Hebert with 14630
Jim Everett with 10622

Most sacked Saints QB

quote:

Archie Manning with 340
Aaron Brooks with 209
Bobby Hebert with 119
Drew Brees with 116

Amazing that Brooks was sacked that many times only being here for five years, the same amount of time as Brees, and half as long as Manning.

Oh Yeah!!!

I remember how excited I was during the Ditka days every time I heard we signed Shuler, Wuerfell, or Vodka Collins. I was sure we were headed to the playoffs. God the mid-to-late 90's were such a black hole, even for this franchise.

And Yes Jeff Blake did get screwed...if I remember correctly we were 7-1 before the injury and then he gets replace with ooh-let-me-throw-it-to-a lineman-behind-me Aaron Brooks...

Here's the numbers I want to see, the % of brees stats compared to the entire history of all saints combined (ie Brees accounts for 201 of the saints 1486 total passing touchdowns in their history, for x%, but has only played in 90 something games of the saints 800 in history for x%)

Nice Sun!

Jeff Blake 7-4 was really coming around and so was the team it seemed. I still remember the roll out and the guy falling on his ankle.

Jake Delhomme 1-1. Damn don't remember that.

Danny Wuerffel 2-4 Worst pocket clock in his head I ever seen lol.

Bobby Hebert 49-26

Kenny Stabler 11-11 Color me SHOCKED!

Bobby Hebert has a higher winning percentage than Drew Brees does. Wow. 65.3 to 65.2.

Of course, he had an amazing defense his entire tenure.

Brees will own that record too at the end of his saints career. Its amazing how a franchise could go so long without a decent qb and then end up with one of the best ever
