I would like to see more trades of guys entering the last year of their rookie contracts but the team has no plans for them going forward. (like Hicks)

Kicker is that they could sign Hicks back if wanted.

If Hicks doesn't resign with the Patriots (and someone will overpay for him), we win the trade. A career backup is better than 10 games and a disappointing finish.

We should've gotten Scott Chandler from them instead of this dude. But now Chandler is a FA. Snag em.

Saints are choosing to Resign HooMan over chasing the free cut bird Chandler voluntarily. Think about it.

This. I thought the same thing last year. He is known as a blocking tight end. I'd love to see what he could do as a FB or even have a package where he's FB on plays inside the 5 yard line. Hell, when we had Jedediah Collins, the play action fake to RB opened up ole Jed for a number of touchdowns.

The Saints must dig him for some reason folks.
Teams seldom give 3 years contracts to back ups only. Maybe there is some upside we as fans have not seen yet as shocking as that may be

Also hope this guy has been getting work done. hope he is taking advantage of the opportunity thats been laid before him!

Yes...a former basketball player.

Make him great Drew!

Will load some pics of him catching throws from Brees as soon as he catches some throws from Brees.

The #Saints believe they've lost TE Ben Watson to the #Ravens, source said. He revived his career in New Orleans.
