I'm not at all expecting a miracle season here or anything fellas, especially considering what the Saints have to work with but since most preseason polls have the Saints rated at about 27th or worse and so many of these so called "pick experts" have them finishing dead last in the division with that being said, I'd like to raise my glass and say a toast. Here's to a fresh start and a new season and a hope and a prayer that the Saints can avoid injuries, fight their asses off every game and maybe, just maybe they can hang around and give all those haters and doubters a great big ol shitburger to eat. Cheers!

Thanks for the speech Coach! Any way you can get some fire under the LSU team?

Won't matter. That Bama team this year is as close as you come to minor league NFL team.

By nature miracle seasons are not expected. It is the unexpected surprise that makes it a miracle. 2009 was not a miracle in that expectations were high, even off two poor campaigns. But think about that year. There were plenty of mini-miracles that made that season. The Miami and Washington games come to mind first. Sharper finding the fountain of youth for a single season. What were there, 9 defensive scores? Quite a few players stepped up out of nowhere also. Bushrod was a complete ? going into the season. Mike Bell led the team in carries. Anthony Hargrove flashed. Remember McAlister and McKenzie coming in off the street and performing well for a bit?

So I'm not expecting a miracle either but here's hoping for the unexpected. The difference from another 7-9 to a 9-7 Super Bowl Champ (ala NYG 2011) is not unimaginable. In the today's NFL parity worst to first stories happen much easier IMO.

I like every position (at least a little,) except offensive line.
