Has Joe Mixon had a history of off field issues or was it a one time incident

Has Joe Mixon had several character issues or was punching the woman an isolated incident? While no doubt a deplorable action people do make mistakes. If he grew from it and has otherwise not been a problem or distraction then he certainly deserves a chance. If not, then the Saints would do well to avoid him and let someone else take the chance.

The league has not banned him so certainly someone will give him the opportunity.

Yes, he's had multiple suspensions in college. He tried to downplay hitting the woman until he realized his actions had consequences.

Do we really want another Junior?

So no one can change their ways right? Give the kid a chance. Tell him there is a short leash and one incident and he is gone. Reiterate that no one in the league will sign if he gets cut for messing up again. Hope the young man straightens his life up and becomes a good player for your organization.

I agree with this.

If the coaches meet up with him and feel good about it, than so do I. If he has so much as a parking violation, kick him to the curb.

Hopefully he doesn't act the way he did over his last parking violation.

Lots of guys with talent and no issues....

Joe just has not slap the wrong female yet.....if I had to guess her father is not in her life, others wise ....well Joe would not be getting drafted.

Speaks volumes about him. Don't want him as a saint. Will be disappointed if they pick him.

He could have killed that woman.

How many chances do you give him? There is a trend with him and a true problem. The only time he even tried to show "remorse" was after someone leaked the video and then he put on the act. Even then, it was temporary as he and his teammates made light of it in the bowl game by joking about it. I would not want him anywhere near this team. Could be the next Lawrence Phillips.

That's exactly who I thought of when I was reading through this thread. Not saying that's who he will be, just what the situation reminds me of.

I'm really interested in seeing how this shakes out. After Ray Rice not getting signed and La'el Collins not getting drafted, I wonder if the league has told teams not to draft him or nobody should take him before the 5th or something like that.

OK, if it was my daughter, sister, cousin that Joe or anybody punched. Book it he would not be getting drafted. That is not stupid -----that is m*therfricking fact!!! Joe would be the stupid one for a very bad decision.

That's why he did this, because it's not the first time and he has gotten away with it.

Joe should learn and move on....but I don't want that trash to be a saint. Or to represent our city.

I keep seeing "slapped". Watch the video in the link above. That was not a slap. He punched her like she was a grown man.

Woman need to stop trying to fight dudes. She thought she could hit him as many times as she wanted to without him responding. The better question is why does society allow that type of behavior from woman, the type that tries to use their gender as a reason they can do shite to you but you can't do shite to them?
