Stayed committed to the run, no screwups on specials teams (thanks McMahon), Dennis Allen called enough blitzes to mess with Rivers. All around great coaching in this one. It's about time we won one for Drew when he's been putting the team on his back for 5 years.

Thank you CSP! I never doubted you!

And the interceptions were from WR tip and WR fall on route...

When is the last time Brees had only 200 yards and this team won?

My sarcasm radar is down for the moment.

Is this for true?

Chargers crapped the bed. But I liked the second half defensive adjustments. I haven't seen that in a while. I also liked that we played everyone. Good to see Lasco and Lewis making plays.

Go back to saints report good god damn! Now that you have finished licking SP's balls here you can go kiss Hillary's arse over there with the other libs. Pure luck on todays win. They won despite SP.

Exactly shiftworker, some of these Saints "fans" are mad the Saints won. It's a very interesting spectacle.

No Saints fan is upset we won, you retard.

But any fan who isn't an alter/troll can see this isn't a good team and that the coaching staff isn't up to par.

Still makes for exciting, albeit frustrating, games to watch.

I'm just glad they decided to shake it up and go 1-3 instead of 0-4 for a change. I like surprises.

Bell knocking that ball out of Gordon's hands was definitely luck.

Listen I think its ridiculous that Joe Vitt and McMahon are still on Payton's staff but I just can't agree that the coaching staff is this corrupt machine that doesn't do everything it can to win. I think CSP is a great NFL coach, maybe a bad talent evaluator and team builder, but he can coach us to close games when we are outmatched. Our defense is full of nobodies and that's nobody's fault but Payton's. But everyone makes mistakes and I say give him a chance to get some talent on the field on the defensive side of the ball. It is a long shot we make the playoffs no doubt, but with a little luck and some good health you never know. Worse teams have gone 10-6, of that I have no doubt.

Dennis Allen has done a better job with this defense. With the young guys we have taken our lumps but they have even looked good in spurts with guys like Crawley, Webb, Harris, Moore. We don't even have a true starting corner playing right now, much less Delvin Breaux. When this defense gets healthy you never know what could happen

Totally agree but the Chargers also don't know how to hold onto a lead real well either. They blew a 3 TD lead to the Chiefs and had the Colts on the ropes last week before TY Hilton ripped off a nice run after a catch for a TD.

I'm glad the D rallied the team with the turnovers. They did so much better stopping the run too which was nice to see. San Diego had been doing way better with their run game so far this year so to be able to not have a breakdown stopping the run AGAIN in this game was refreshing.

too bad we can't play these guys twice a year. They might be the most snake bitten team in the league considering the totality of the organization. They could very well be moving out of town and they have the most players on IR in the league. Brutal.

So things could be worse.

About fricking time we got a win!
