C

Don't know how it will turn out. We'll see if we can replace the production we lost. We suck at drafting lately.

1. Restructuring Junior Galette B Necessary move
2. Restructuring Jairus Byrd - B Necessary move.
3. Trading Jimmy Graham and a 4th for a 1st and Max Unger - B We will miss Graham, but this will make the team more balanced.
4. Trading Kenny Stills for a 3rd and Dannell Ellerbe B - If its true about the locker room problems, getting a third for him is great.
5. Trading Ben Grubbs for a 5th - A likely would've been cut, got something
6. Letting Tyrunn Walker leave - D was great depth
7. Not touching Brees' contract A because it would put more damage in the future
8. Cutting Corey White - A Save money, and he wasn't productive enough
9. Cutting Pierre Thomas - D Cheap contract for one of the most underrated players in the NFL.
10. Cutting Curtis Lofton - C I get why they did it, but we are hurting at LB
11. Signing Mark Ingram (4yr/16mil) - A cheap compared to what was expected, and he wants to be here.
12. Signing CJ Spiller (4yr/18mil) - B I could see him doing amazing things in this offense, only worried about health.
13. Signing Ramon Humber (2yr/2.085mil) - C Could go up to a higher grade depending on his play, but that's a fair contract.
14. Signing Brandon Browner (3yr/15mil) - A Good price for a legit #2 CB. Secondary got a much needed boost. He will knocked Roddy White's head off.
15. Signing Parys Haralson - B Solid player. Nothing special, but we needed some vets staying
16. Signing Shayne Graham - C There are better options
17. Keeping Colston (Pay-Cut) - A We get to keep a productive player, the best WR to ever play for the Saints, for cheap/
18. Keeping Hawthorne (Pay-Cut) - B Fine with him as depth, and only because of the pay cut
19. Keeping Bunkley (Pay-Cut) - B still a solid DT, and I'm fine keeping him on a cheaper deal

A- over all, the only move I didn't like and still don't is cutting Pierre. I mean we could've swang his contract.

I hope people have noticed that Lester seems to have an axe to grind with Loomis.

Otherwise, this joke won't work.

Because Loomis is the one that told him he couldn't go anywhere near the team or Sean anymore.....

It didn't work because it wasn't funny and we don't stalk other posters.

1. Restructuring Junior Galette B Necessary

2. Restructuring Jairus Byrd B Necessary

3. Trading Jimmy Graham and a 4th for a 1st and Max Unger A+ Jimmy softer than 1-ply

4. Trading Kenny Stills for a 3rd and Dannell Ellerbe B- Headscratcher but if he was a locker room distraction.. makes sense

5. Trading Ben Grubbs for a 5th A Compensation for cutting fat

6. Letting Tyrunn Walker leave D Stupid. He was clearly one of the best players on our D last season, if I could see it on Film (and PFF could too...) then I know the Saints could. This makes no sense.

7. Not touching Brees' contract A Next offseason makes more sense

8. Cutting Corey White C Good depth/knows the system/decent athlete/better than a UDFA

9. Cutting Pierre Thomas B Patriot move/better before the cliff than after. We needed cap space

10. Cutting Curtis Lofton A Expensive and we need athleticism here

11. Signing Mark Ingram (4yr/16mil) A Young talent, pretty cheap. Will anchor the backfield

12. Signing CJ Spiller (4yr/18mil) B+ Good #2 punch but I would have preferred someone like Vereen

13. Signing Ramon Humber (2yr/2.085mil) B Depth

14. Signing Brandon Browner (3yr/15mil) B We needed a CB but I'm not totally convinced he's the answer. 30 years old. The size helps a lot but if he was really top-flight like Deion Sanders thinks he would not be on his 3rd team in as many seasons. We'll see on this one.

15. Signing Parys Haralson B+ Good experienced depth

16. Signing Shayne Graham B Cheap

17. Keeping Colston (Pay-Cut) B+ I would have hated this pre Jimmy trade, I think Colston is way over the hill. But we need guys at WR now so I'm glad he's still around.

18. Keeping Hawthorne (Pay-Cut) B We need to have at least one seasoned guy in the middle next season and believe it or not, Hawthorne was lightyears ahead of Lofton last season. Yes, really.

19. Keeping Bunkley (Pay-Cut) B- Depth. But we need more of it.

Keep in mind, he has won a SB each of the last 2 seasons as a starter on those teams.

Left Seattle to prove himself away from their Defense and the Pats didn't pick up his option because they don't pay anyone longterm (outside of Brady)

1. Restructuring Junior Galette
Was needed and he's a very productive player despite the drama.

B

2. Restructuring Jairus Byrd

Was also needed. I'm really hoping for a strong year from him and robbie to use him right(no 40 yards downfield BS)

B

3. Trading Jimmy Graham and a 4th for a 1st and Max Unger

Jimmy really warmed out his welcome and we got the elite center we needed. Saints can get a solid WR or a lineman with that pick. Still think we could've gotten a mid draft pick next year as well but meh.

B

4. Trading Kenny Stills for a 3rd and Dannell Ellerbe

Great value and added a body at a needed position. Stills is a quality reciever but not irreplaceable.

B+

5. Trading Ben Grubbs for a 5th

Got a nice pick for a guy that wasn't productive

A

6. Letting Tyrunn Walker leave

Good young player that was on a cheap deal. It's a blow to the depth spots but hopefully we'll find a gem again.

D+

7. Not touching Brees' contract

Not needed despite the peanut gallery clamoring for it.

A

8. Cutting Corey White

Dude wasn't very good but was OK depth. Enough depth back there to let him go.

B+

9. Cutting Pierre Thomas

Understandable but I didn't like it

D

10. Cutting Curtis Lofton

Need more athleticism back there and his strongest attributes(leadership/run support) were average at best.

B+

11. Signing Mark Ingram (4yr/16mil)

Should do even better behind a rebuilt line and was signed to a VERY reasonable deal imo(lol at the rantards)

A-

12. Signing CJ Spiller (4yr/18mil)

Slight overpay but he's exactly what CSP/Drew were looking for and will explode. Worried a little bi about injuries but that's the RB position.

B+

13. Signing Ramon Humber (2yr/2.085mil)

Cheap deal for a good role player. Can't really complain at all.

B

14. Signing Brandon Browner (3yr/15mil)

Got 2 mil less than tramon and I love this signing. He'll match up very well with the giant WRs and bring toughness.

A

15. Signing Parys Haralson

See humber

16. Signing Shayne Graham

Didn't care for this,I feel like we can do better to be honest

D-

17. Keeping Colston (Pay-Cut)

Made too much sense not to cut him. Still not too old and was productive despite the drops(which are unheard of),good mentor for the young WRs that'll be brought in.

A

18. Keeping Hawthorne (Pay-Cut)

Had a decent season and will provide vet depth.

B-

19. Keeping Bunkley (Pay-Cut)

Still a good lineman and is a better option than just cutting and finding a replacement.

C+

Overall it's a solid B+ for me

this is pointless until after the draft. For example, if they take scherff or collins at 13 then it's clear that there is an overall plan that OL and a revamped running game is the 1st priority, then graham for unger is an A. If they pull some bullshite and trade up to take a WR and dont address og at all, which i think wont be enough to revamp the oline to the point that it becomes a true weapon, I give the graham trade a C+. you're trading a proven receiving weapon for a not guaranteed to stay healthy center that wont single handedly fix the oline and an unproven receiving weapon.

totally different scenarios going forward.

well i thought it was funny and i only visit this board in the offseason. sometimes contrarians need to be called out as such.

Looks like he gave it a C.....

@KristianGaric1: One week into NFL free agency how would you grade the Saints off-season? I give them a C so far with solid additions, but also created holes
