Big hits != bounty system.

I'm not sure why I still try here anymore but there's a difference between being warned about a system, disregarding that warning and continuing the "alleged" bounty system vs. making a brutal hit in which that player was probably fined for on an individual basis.

Simply put, one was a hit by an individual player vs. a system that was implemented and executed by the defense and it's coaches.

The problem is, if the hit was illegal, then they should get flagged for it. If it was that severe, then the NFL would come out with suspensions a couple days later (ala James Harrison, Suh, etc...)

Another issue is the lack of evidence that has been brought to light, which everyone just swept under the rug. HOWEVA (Stephen A voice), now that the players like Vilma were suspended for acts that were reported to have false, the NFL is going to face a backlash and I think eventually will have to spew out evidence.

I agree with your logic, but how do you suspend players without even discussing the situation with them or having zero evidence?

Badell had more evidence against guys like Suh and Harrison for dirty hits than he did against Smith, Vilma, etc... so where is the investigation into the Lions defense? The Packers defense? Again I get the logic, but this has created a media shite storm that the likes of ESPN and whoever else are running with acting like we went out and killed women and children.

I'm not sure why I still try here anymore but here are four reasons you don't know what the frick you are talking about:

1. Please show me the proof that Vilma or Will Smith implemented any pay-to-injure bounties. I'll wait.

2. Please show me ONE, just ONE, big hit by Vilma or Will Smith, and for funzies, you can have carte blanche on all the tackles they ever made during their tenure as Saints. I'm still waiting.

3. If you can find one brutal hit by Vilma or Smith (which you won't), please make sure the player who took the hit was "knocked -out" or "carted off" because that is part of the criteria for Vilma/Smith suspensions set by the Goodell.

4. After you've completed the first three steps, make sure that the proof of the big hit by Vilma or Smith that resulted in a carted off or knocked out player happened after Aug 4th, 2011, because the CBA doesn't allow any punishment for any "player misconduct" prior to that date.

You are better off continuing to keep Goodell's dick in your mouth as opposed to coming here & spewing out/regurgitating Goodell's bullshite lines with absolutely no evidence.

Wait, you mean the defensive coaches and players talked about TACKLING people? They actually talked about PLAYING DEFENSE?

Because, you know, tackling and hitting and shite are part of the game of professional football. I'm pretty sure you can't play without those things.

how do you know this though

all the bullshite you keep spewing is just the crap that the media threw out in the beginning, but the NFL has yet to turn over any proof that this stuff has happened

yes, there likely was some sort of "pay for play incentive program" but as been said it has happened in the NFL forever and on every team...but since the initial story broke nothing seems to be really fitting in right.

No one is saying we didnt deserve some sort of suspension, but the severity of these suspensions are ridiculous and unprecedented and the least the douche can do is show why he made them so severe.

Goodell suspended a player FOR A YEAR and a) didn't even let him know in person, he found out through the media and b)has yet to even discuss the evidence into why he was suspended for a year

if you don't understand that something is pretty fricked up about this I don't what to tell you

It's mindboggling to me how the general public simply swallows up what's being portrayed about this rather than digging for themselves. I can tell you as a current out of state fan the jury believes the Saints are flat out wrong and anything counter to that is one in denial!
I hope solid evidence gets put forth one way or another to either exonerate the Saints or to prove they deserve what they've been given. How anyone can determine, one way or another, with what we've been given so far is a joke.
